A great deal for this monitor as I've been looking at purchasing 2 for the last week. I've just ordered myself 2 to replace my current setup.

Outputs at 144hz and 1080p which is perfect for what I need and is supposed to be fantastic for colour reproduction. You have to use DisplayPort cables in order to use the 144hz FYI.

I'm personally not jumping to 4K, but I'm more than willing to pay for an excellent 1080p monitor vs a mediocre/good 4K monitor which would need so much horsepower from my PC to even output to it, leave alone at high framerates.

Also has FreeSync, but doesn't apply to me as I have an Nvidia card.

It's £209.99 on Amazon, but I get a slight discount through my other half's workplace.

Does this monitor support LFC?

It's probably an MUFC supporter... lol

Thanks for the insight.

I'll be using Displayport on both for mine, but thanks for the tip!

It's a connector on your monitor and GPU. Will allow higher frame rates if your PC is capable. Makes Windows super smooth too.
Super cheap for OLED nonitor.....wait the moment it is QLED....ooooo....nevermind. i will stick to my IPS glow.
Looks like a good price. Thinking of building a productivity pc with some occasional gaming using ryzen 5 1600 most likely, this would probably go quite nicely. Heat added
It's wide gamut which isn't ideal for a gaming monitor. Most games aren't colour aware so colours will come out oversaturated and inaccurate.
Seems like Amazon price matched.
I want the LC24FG73 as I prefer the stand... but this has tempted me

Was considering this one too, but couldn't justify the price difference. Also, I'll be using a dual monitor arm attached to my desk, so should do away with the monitor stands anyway.

About time! When I checked earlier, Amazon had them for 209.99!

Would have much preferred Amazon, but the discount I got through my OH's work got me the monitors for £185 each.
Ahhh I need a monitor desperately as I'm having to return my Acer one... same res and specs. Can anyone comment on the effects of the wide gamut and whether it would negatively affect gaming?

It's the best price I've seen on this monitor. Tracking the price on Amazon says the costs have varied from £209 to £329.

That being said, I know nothing about monitors but am looking to buy 2 to run alongside my Macbook for design purposes. Would anyone recommend it?

one fugly stand
Appears that it does support LFC but the freesync range is really high, 70hz and abvoe, was hoping for 48hz.
I think it should made explicitly clear in the title that this is curved, you can't quite tell from the picture.

This is more of a personal irritation but that fat bezel is not ideal. I am looking to get a couple of thin bezel displays to put side by side in a dual monitor setup so there's as little in the way between the actual screens, so this won't do for me.

Amended, thanks for the prompt.
I forgot that it's curved myself TBH.

For reference, it's not a major curve:

I just hope they bring the FG73 model down to £200. Been waiting for the price drop since black Friday to purchase another one.

100% recommend this monitor, especially at this price. FG73 stand is better though imo
Be careful, I had this and it takes a great deal of room up behind the screen due to the stupid design of the stand.
Picture was amazing though.

I had the 27” version and upgraded to the HG70. The QD really makes everything look so vibrant. Way better than IPS panels.

Yes, games look and feel fantastic. 144hz, low response time and input lag make it fine for fast paced shooters. The stand is terrible though as it makes the monitor come out pretty far.

Are you sure? Page 42 of the user manual from the Samsung support page says "Vertical Frequency 48 – 144".
Bought earlier today but unfortunately mine has a dead pixel so taking it back for a refund, also the stand is stupidly big and takes up way too much space.
Isn't this the older model with the problems?
Don't know what all the fuss is about with 4k. I'm sat here gaming at 4k 60fps on my 290x playing infinite warfare, no stuttering/lag - just dont be silly with your settings such as 16x AA as you dont need it at this res....
Decent for HDR on ps4 pro?

The 1080ti should be adequate for 144hz...
Any good for Xbox one X?

Any good for Xbox one X?

Not really, you'd want a higher resolution monitor / TV for the Xbox One X, like a 1440P or a 4K one. It can't make use of 144HZ as far as I know.

Good spot.

For those others that are buying for a 2nd screen, save your money and go pick up a standard 24" monitor for half the price.

Why would you have a lesser monitor as the second screen? If you can afford a decent one for both, you should!

Also, would look crap having 2 different screens. Real bargain basement aesthetically.

Good reply,

Youre correct, i had assumed when you said 2nd screen its not primarily used for gaming. Thats why i would question the need for a 144hz monitor. Something with a better panel for non-gaming can be found cheaper.

That said, a 144hz monitor, assuming it does what it says on the tin, is pretty good

It's more the OCD-ness of it all, I've been using 2 screens for work and home use for about 6 or 7 years and you notice when the screens are different, even if one is connected through analogue vs digital.

Ive currently got 2 LG monitors that are 144hz but the colour accuracy isn't great, hence me selling up and getting these.

Get one (or two), I'm sure you won't be disappointed. 1 of mine is arriving tomorrow
