shared graphics makes this computer very unattractive, otherwise I'm for samsung, they're good machines

Viking Direct is £399.98 delivered plus vat less 8% quidco. Not exactly £300. Why do people post about the impossibly good deals they've got? Is it something to do with willy size?

Yes it is. Special offer is £299 plus £1 for every inch. I got mine for £299.50... oO

probably is but excludes vat

I was given 30% reduction on anything I buy from Viking Direct - so £399.99 + vat = £469.99 minus 30% is around £330 plus £30 quidco. Total is £300.

Happy? At £430 - I don't think it's worth it considering similar spec'd Inspiron N5010 IS be available on Dell oulets website for around £370 including VAT and delivery - and it has a i3-350M processor.

Yes, it appears to be the same spec but for those of us who pay tax, you need to add VAT.

Rash

Happy to stand corrected. It would of helped if you'd of mentioned the 30% discount at the time, rather than allow the rest of us miserable souls to get our hopes up of bagging a bargain. (_;)

Indeed I do apologise- but i still think it's expensive at £430. Just 2 Days ago I bought a Insprion N5010 Core i5-430M, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HD and ATI HD 5470 1GB GPU from Dell oulet UK for £426, inc. VAT & del.

£4 cheaper - spec wise crushes this!

and again basically irrelevant as outlet isn't new
30% discount adds nothing to this thread - just a boast
comparison of new with 2nd hand adds nothing as everyone knows about dell refurbs and is not 'like for like'

Dell outlet are pretty much new laptops! If you think saving £50 for a 'as new' laptop is not worth it - then thats up to you.

I'm sure there are people who would prefer to save £50 and get a Inspiron with identical spec (but 350M processor). Or save £4 and get a far far superior spec'd Inspiron. Both Dell and this come with a 12 month warranty!
