Great deal

There are i3 laptops for a similar price.

beautiful design

I looked at this laptop two years ago and was VERY close to buying it. I ended up not buying a laptop at all, but this was the one I would've gone for, if I had. Had I not purchased the HP G72-110SA, I would snapped this up straight away.

The only difference in this and the HP is a very slightly slower processor peformance, the lower screen size and HDD speed rate.

Amazon have the spec. details wrong.

The P6100 runs @ 2GHz, not 2.13GHz. See here for details.

Personally i'd go for a cheaper brand with superior specs. (and in this instance, at a significantly lower price!)

Just spotted this in the novatech clearance section.

Novatech X55MV, Intel T6400, 4Gb 800Mhz Ram, 250Gb 7200RPM Hard Drive,Nvidia 9650M GT 1GB Graphics,15.4" WSXGA(1680x1050) X Brite Panel, NO O/S

Not worth posting as a deal, 'cos it's a one-off, however spec. wise it's quite nice for the price.
Obviously Core2Duo is a little outdated now, as is the 9650M GT, but they're still respectable performers.

An adequate gaming laptop for £335.99 (less 3% quidco) seems like a bargain to me; ofcourse you'll need an OS to install on it.

There is a good review of it here.

I would agree with you 100%.

That review is for a higher spec laptop.

Hi everyone, being a German I'm quite envious of "your" amazon deal - a slightly better model with i3 starts at around € 480 (~ £ 400) here.

Having said that, I've noticed that amazon doesn't say whether the display is matte or glossy - the R540 line features both types, so if you're a matte-display fan like me, you should try and find out! Maybe the model number stated at amazon (NP-R540-JA0AUK) helps.

I have bought two through work. They are very impressive, fast delivery, the glossy black lid and area around the mouse pad show prints and smears easily though.
