I'm sure Boots kitchen is part of AO or uses their inventory or summat. It's £20 cheaper yes, but delivery is £20 so works out the same. That said, the advantage points might swing it for some.

I’ve had this for nearly 5 years and it’s fantastic! I highly recommend it. Water cooler is troublesome to refill and feels like an after thought but it works great.

Do these Samsung still come with 5 year guarantee?

Yes, 5 years manufacturer warranty and 10 years digital inverter compressor warranty included
Can’t rate Samsung enough, had a fridge fail after 4 years and 350 days, as part of the 5 year warranty they replaced it with a new one.
Got myn in Black Friday for £369 or sumot like that with free delivery and runs a dream no problems so far, abit more noisy that my last fridge freezer tho that’s the only negative
Absolutely fantastic fridge had echo what was said about the water tank
Good price
I bought the non water dispenser version of this fridge last week and I am considering returning it as it is ridiculously noisy. There are numerous reviews mentioning this issue as it appears to be common with this range due to the digital inverter, which ironically is supposed to make it quieter. There's no way it's 38db as advertised. Also, the instructions to reverse the door are practically useless and even following a youtube video guide it's not straight froward with many screw holes having to be opened up.

Have a look in your fridge 1st mate.

I've had mine 2 weeks now,the day after i installed it i went into the kitchen and the fridge was making a racket, i opened the fridge door and the noise got louder, apparently it was a plate that was rattling against a bottle, the next day the same thing only it was a can of coke vibrating on the glass shelf,Next time you hear it loud open the fridge and have a look and listen it could be something to nothing.

I got mine for £332 from Currys 2 days after xmas.

It lasted 4 years 350 days lol. That’s pathetic. Our zanussi in the garage lasted 12 years. Our Samsung fridge is about 3.5 years old and have replaced the door plastic holders 3 times as they are so brittle and poorly made. It’s now in the garage, replaced it with a Bosch fridge freezer that’s better quality. Was going to get a Miele but no point as not made by them and only 2 year warranty and double price of the Bosch.

Our Samsung has a water dispenser too...worst decision ever, used a couple times, gave up, waste of time and space

I’d check what it covers. The warranty on our Samsung fridge didn’t cover the door plastic holders. We paid for first two as they weren’t covered by their s..t. Warranty, but they covered the third after I threatened legal action as we are very careful with our items.

Thanks for the tip George. The wine rack can vibrate and make a racket if there's nowt in it but that's not the problem. It's definitely the compressor as there are various videos on youtube with the exact same noise unfortunately.

The fridge and freezer are now pretty full and I've turned the temp up to the highest setting in the hope that the compressor doesn't kick in as often. I'm hoping I just get used to it as it's otherwise a nice fridge and I really can't be doing reversing another door!

Things today are not made to last, because society is lazy and replaces items because they can, not because they need to be replaced, so why make an item that will last 20 years?

That aside, what I am getting at is the warranty worked, they didn’t even come to check it. I told them what the issue was and the engineer was aware, said it was ware and tear but shouldn’t only last 5 years, so full replacement given with no arguments, it was also the biggest fridge / freezer ratio I could find at the time, so it was the right fridge for us.

The replacement has a water dispenser which is handy, easy to fill and is used daily.

Each to their own.

It was worth a try mate,I hope yours settles down.

I reversed the doors on my unit it was a bit tricky, the wee leaflet on reversing the doors isn't worth a toss,i used this video on youtube,it's not the same model number but everthing is the same on reversing the doors. The tricky bit is the plastic cover for the top hinge trying to see how to get that off,i ended up just yanking it off with a screwdriver, after all i wasn't going to use that cover again as you get a spare one with the unit.

That's actually the very video I followed! I don't think I would have even attempted it without seeing that having read the useless instructions.

That wee plastic cover was a nightmare. Trying to get it off without scratching the plastic surround is near impossible.

Just to give you a better idea this is what mine is like

But, on a brighter note there are plenty of positive reviews for these fridges to suggest it's not a problem for everyone and will probably depend more on your own particular circumstances. If you have a flat where the kitchen is near the living room (like me) of have an open plan arrangement then it could be an issue.

I got this at currys couple of days after Christmas and our was rreally noisy but down the bottom of the back there is a silver pipe that sits in a little plastic guide and it was squashed a little against the grip[ on the outside end and inside I gently wriggled it a bit to centre it and all the noise stopped just might be worth a try - think mine got moved when I was unwrapping the Styrofoam off it
Whats the model without the drink dispenser?
I bought this the other day and it’s great! First was damaged but AO replaced it the next day!
I bought this in a Curry's black Friday deal for £332. Delivery guy spotted small scratch at bottom of door when setting it up. Offered to replace it or reduce by £30. Since I couldn't see it until he pointed it out I took the discount. Excellent fridge/freeze. Very impressed with Curry's delivery.
I've had this model for 2 and a half years and the wear rate is atrocious!!
Class shelves have cracked, all the plastic trims on the edge of the glass shelves just obliterate themselves, lugs on freezer drawer guides have sapped off.

It is obvious to me the plastic grade and quality is wrong for the environment it has to operate in.

On top of that the shelve configuration is extremely limited and therefore makes this a very impractical appliance.

Worst decision to buy this.

No mate.I have the one with the water dispenser.

George
I got the slightly smaller rb29 last year for £278 off ebay when they did the 20% code.

Our living room kitchen is open plan and the whirring noise this thing makes drives me bananas
The fridge itself looks good however I echo the comments about dents. I would get the Sa version as that is plastic effect. This model dents too easily.

Performance has been good and water dispenser is better designed than some others holds a decent amount and you can still fit a couple of bottles in the door unlike my in laws beko fridge.
The SA version is £359 with the code LKA10A currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

Same price without water dispenser currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

The one with water dispenser has a bigger fridge (18 litres bigger)

Is that parts and labour?

5 year parts and labour for the machine
10 year parts only on the compressor
Was this originally £399 then down to £389 with 10OFFAO? Or was the code required for OP's price?

Either way basic price is now £429 so with code it's £419, and boots' page has also increased accordingly.

We recently moved into our new house and purchased this Samsung fridge. It is excellent, no problems at all, I agree with the water cooler, but it's a bonus. We got the samsung drier and washing machine too, just unfortunate that they don't really specialize in dishwasher or else we would have got a Samsung dishwasher too
Showing as £619 now
