Ice machine issues imminent. Not sure they sorted the fault out with it...class action lawsuit over this in the good ol' US of A. I would personally not recommend any Samsung product to be fair...imo with my experience. (edited)

Thanks for this, just purchased. Hopefully it'll be OK. Our current Samsung fridge freezer has lasted us 13 years and started leaking this week, so needed a replacement quickly. Hopefully this will do the job for us.

had a samsung for years fridge /freezer fine - but the ice machine broke all the time , switched to lg recently  for the sake of bit more money peace of mind

Ice machine randomly stops working. You have to constantly reset it, like 3 times a week.

Bit surprised by some of these comments. Speaking from personal experience, we have a very similar model to this one and it has been excellent. Perhaps I've been lucky(?) but I've had absolutely no problems and the ice machine works faultlessly. I've had mine of 6 years so far. Would happily recommend a Samsung American fridge freezer.

The real problems with Samsung in my experience start the moment you need any support.
And with modern electronics needing support is not uncommon, almost regardless the brand...

I wouldn't recommend a Samsung, they seem to have issues going back years which they do not bother to rectify

I've had at least 3 RS models...,.... absolute nightmare!!! I have to dismantle back of fridge every 2 months approx & defrost with hairdryer due to a design fault. Stuff at back of fridge freezes, including pipe which feeds the ice maker = No ice. I'd never get another one , just my opinion of course.

I have a design fault on mine where it doesn't cool properly and I have to keep resetting it and/or defrosting, a quick Google search shows this is an old problem going on for years it was even on Watchdog in 2008ish and they still haven't rectified it on newer models! (edited)

Thanks, I actually cancelled the order earlier this morning I noticed there was a newer model on perks at work for £999 so purchased that instead. Thought it was worth the extra, aswell as delivery being tomorrow rather than Thursday.

I would've loved to have got the amazon one for your price! Absolute bargain. That's the problem with me, I wait for things to break before purchasing another I should purchase early to get the best deals.
