Excellent deal......Argos sell this model for £664.

This is an excellent price.. ggrr should be movin into new house in 5-6 weeks and this would have been ideal but got nowhere to store it in the mean time....gutted.

Awesome price and 2% quidco !

Pricing error perhaps ?

 surely it's got to be a misprice as there is no reduced from price :? i thought i got a good deal using a 30% off comet voucher before christmas which ended up costing me about 450 pounds
this should get mega hot

Maybe you can arrange a delayed delivery. I had exactly the same situation - found a good price on a big fridge about a month before our intended move so had it delivered to the old house so I wouldnt miss out on the deal. It took up a massive space in our dining room (rendering one side of the table unusable) and then our move was delayed for a further 6 weeks so we had to put up with the damn thing sitting there for almost 3 months!

Good price BTW but ours is a Samsung too, and it's really noisy.

anyone know a good deal on a Twin Thermostat Fridge Freezer for around £300. Don't need one this big though, we don't eat tubs of ice cream and peanut butter.

Excellent price , i paid £550 for a similar model ( Samsung ) from Comet and they also charge £50 Delivery.:x

can you use it without the drink dispenser without plumbing it in

Plumbing is easy if you have a washing machine connector as you can put a 2-way adaptor on the washing machine cold water feed.

That's an unbelieveable price as no other shops are even close to it!

Yes but the whole idea is really for the cold drinks and ice cube facility.

You could use one of these

If it has the same water pipe as mine it is mini bore feed to Fridge so this no good , unless you also add a reducer.

is it me or does the freezer section seem to be tiny?

Amazing deal............a decent ordinary half half ff would cost you similar if not more. Heat n rep OP.

Amazing Price:thumbsup:

It is a small bore plastic push fit water pipe that goes to the fridge, but mine came with a connector that fits a standard washing machine connector.

Yes the freezer capacity is not great on these, we found that ours is quite difficult to fit everything in especially as the ice-cube mechanism takes up a lot of space. There certainly is no more room in one of these than in a standard freezer it is the fridge part that has all the space.

My Samsung delivered a couple of weeks ago came with the same connector, lucky as it isn't the type of connection readily available at builders merchants. I was already using one of those splitters for the washing machine / dishwasher and the fridge was the other side of the room so I used one of these on the cold water pipe under the sink:

Top bit of kit

sweet ordered one been looking at these in currys

ordered one, excellent deal thanks

Excellent price - just too wide for my kitchen, would have bought it in a flash if it would fit as I need a new one!

We've got the RSJ1FERS awesome piece of kit especially as it has the special doors and is in stainless. Plumbing in is very easy comes with a kit

Only downside as already mentioned freezer section is relatively small partly due to the ice cube maker, etc however no smaller than any other American style fridge freezer really

Ordered one, great find - Muchas Gracias!

Anyone know how much 678 nectar points are worth?

Awesome find, ordered, thank you!

Best thing to do is to quickly pop in store (or got to Comet and look at a similar Samsung model) and check it out.

These things have deceptively large freezers imo, although on my model I have a 3rd sheld instead of that big white thing at the top. But yeah, compared to standard freezers it holds alot more imo, these things are relatively tall and slightly deep, also with space on the doors, so they can hold quite alot.

I hate to put a negetive slant on deals but Sainsburys applience division is run by DRL ltd who also operate boots kitchen appliences and after having one of the worst customer service experiences which resulted in me cancelling the item after 5 weeks of being mucked about and using 4 days annual leave waiting on deliveries that never appeared I would urge caution and for people to read up on some reviews of this company before putting your faith in the Sainsburys brand.

But it will cost you a lot less to run. Remember the "A"-rating only tells you that it's efficient per unit volume; the larger the volume the more it will cost to run, for the same rating.

Great price, and scored 69% in Which (or at least the otherwise identical silver version did). Only cons in the review was the freezer size of only (!) 117L.

However, a couple of customer feedback posts mentioned a known issue with the water dispenser, and a build up of ice at the back of the freezer. There were only 4 posts in total, but might be worth a bit more investigation if you're thinking of getting one...

Comet have the same one for £899, not sure if they do a price promise the same as Currys but might be able to get 10% of the difference off?!

Beware the Samsung 2 year warranty.

Bought a Samsung fridge freezer from Comet last year, but only started using it 6 months after purchase. Of course, one or two days after Comet warranty ran out, the compressor gave up and we had to deal direct with Samsung.

It was a current model, still in production, but they told us we'd have to wait at least a month (turned out to be nearly 6 weeks) for a compressor to be sent from Taiwan or somewhere similar.
No amount of talikng nicely/complaining would get them to offer a replacement in the meantime,

What good is a warranty if you still need to buy a replacement fridge while waiting for spare parts?

The fridge freezer itself is probably ok, but the Samsung people were very very unhelpful and we ended up forking out for a cheap second hand one to see us through til the compressor arrived.

Indeed - again according to Which, this costs £74 a year to run, as opposed to their best buy (a standard layout 60 cm wide affair) which was £39. Others were as low as £16!
