This has cropped up every now and then, but currently the cheapest I think it's been. This is a retail version, not just OEM, so comes with software (though the site isn't particularly forthcoming about what that is)

EDIT 2: Price changed, now £43.48 inc. P&P, so back to being a good deal I reckon.

EDIT: Have expired as with P&P it's £49.47, so not quite so good. Still, better than ebuyer which only has the OEM for the same price.

now £39.98 with FREE delivery within 2-4 working days.

Cyberlink Suite

Hi mine came with Cyberlink Power DVD and Blu-ray Suite. Had to update them both which was about 200Mb downloads if I remember correctly. Took ages on my Max 2Mb connection

Thanks. I think I'll order.

Someone has expired this and yet I see 200 in stock?

I noticed that too, but I believe the OP has expired themselves.

Yep. I had second thoughts about whether it was really worth drawing people's attention to, maybe I should have let them decide.

Says 60.00 though?

OOPS Now 43. with delivery, hot deal now

Why did you delete my post?

Its £43.48 + quidco of 3%, which is typical as i just bought this drive from scan yesterday for £43.98 with av forums free delivery still hot so heat added despite my typical luck of a better price appearing the day after i buy something

Now only £39.98 including delivery - cheapest price for this last night was £43.98 - I know because I bought one.

Extremely hot price.

Edit - just realised I get free delivery for clicking through from an email they sent me. If you want the email PM me an email address and I'll forward it on, free delivery lasts all weekend.

It's a Blu ray reader and DVD writer for your PC. To play on your TV you would also need a HDMI out on the PC.

I have a 8600gt card, would a dvi to hdmi cable work?

Would be without sound, unless you have external amp

Yes, but you'd have to wire your sound up separately.

So I would have to buy a card as well.?

If you have a newish ati card with hdmi you can output the audio from the hdmi port, you will need to download the ati hdmi audio output driver.some of the nvidea cards (gtx460) also output sound from the hdmi port.I have an ati hd4670 which is a few years old now and can get audio from the hdmi to my plasma. Hope this info is of use to someone

Surely you have audio ports on your computer? You could play the sound from your computer speakers, wire the sound to an amp, or possibly use the audio inputs on the TV (if it allows you to view HDMI at the same time as using L/R audio inputs).

The software that comes with this is a complete joke.

Installed all the crap, seven programs in total (big mistake number 1) took ages too. Tried playing a film, NO! gotta update the software first. 100meg file took 20mins. tried playing a film. NO! unsupported format, gotta update another 80meg file. Done that, still "unsupported file", the Bluray disk is viewable in mycomputer. Ive tried updating my ATI drivers, which made everything worse (computer boots up a black screen and now refuses to boot with any graphics displayed other than safe vga mode). All my other players wont touch it either, even tried nero, vlc, vuze player! WM classic lol.

Im having a bad day.

Nice deal, heat added and item bought

Edit: also, I seem to have received free delivery?
