I know usually you have to put £10 top up as well but I figured that you could do that "pay as you go upgrade" thing and not have to pay the £10.

Available cheapest on orange and t-mobile (surprise surprise) but CPWH phones are apparently all unlocked?

The Samsung S5560 is a stylish 3 inch touch screen smartphone full of fun features.

It is so lightweight at only 95g that you can fit it into practically any pocket or handbag.

Turn the phone on its side and you can view your homepage in widescreen. Tap or swipe the screen to browse menus, and customise the layout by dragging widgets around. There's loads of extra ones available online; just download them straight to your phone.

Go online via GPRS or WiFi, when a hotspot's present, and browse the web, send emails, update your status or download content straight to your mobile.

The S5560 has a 5 Megapixel camera with smile and blink detection, which is great for taking fun pictures of friends. Use the dedicated camcorder mode to make mini movies and then show off your creations by uploading them to YouTube.

The S5560 supports microSD cards up to 16GB, so you can save all your images, movies and music onto the expandable memory.

Share your media with friends and connect to peripheral devices with Bluetooth.

You can also plug your favourite pair of headphones into the 3.5mm audio jack to enjoy enhanced sound quality when listening to music or the in-built FM radio.

With so much on-board you would be forgiven for thinking the Samsung's battery life would be short. However, the phone provides a staggering 9.5 hours of talk time from each full charge.

Stay connected and entertained for longer with the Samsung Marvel S5560.

great price, but lack of 3G is a bit of an issue if you need to surf the net at any reasonable speed.

not bad now the likes of the jet etc have gone back up in price
think would prefer monte though with 3g and capacitive screen although lower spec camera

Lack of 3g. Is 2g ok for Europe though?

Looks a decent little phone but a bit much to lay out just now. Although I'll pass the details on to a mate of mine who dropped his phone in a public lav last weekend.
Maybe I shouldn't admit to this on a public forum but if I dropped a £400 phone in a pile of poo I'd have a very lonely weekend thereafter!

can you explain that for me I'm interested in this phone for my wifethanks

hi, yeah, basically you go into the shop and say that you want a pay as you go upgrade, you give the pay as you go number and then you dont have to pay for the £10 top up

but, i'm not so sure if this works on sale items? there's only one way to find out i guess? lol

the link explaining some bits is here…des

its not just on these phones as stated.

Hope this helps

I remember walking in and asking for a phone, then telling them I didn't need a new sim as I has the network that the phone was already on. Spent the saved £10 on a memory card.
