it's a very good phone and a bargain in comparison to the S8 and S8 plus but do yourself a favour and run a launcher. Touchwiz (or whatever it's called now) really is bad

Damn this is so tempting, but torn between this and the OnePlus 5 when it's released shortly as I'm hoping it may be worth paying the extra as I'm guessing it will last me longer not being a 1 year old model.

Also not too much confidence in 2nd hard phones after getting a S7 with a chip in the screen FROM Amazon Warehouse (although they were great refunding the money).

Has anybody used this company?

Blimy I thought they had sorted TouchWiz out now.

It's a pain on my Galaxy S5 so run Nova on the that.

OnePlus 5 is expected to release in June and should be good value for money (<£500). I would have gone for a Pixel but the £599 price tag is such a detterent!

I have a Galaxy S5 with Touchwiz and know exactly what you mean. Also, all those useless Samsung apps dont help with the 16GB internal storage

I know - running out of memory on the phone is the main reason for trading it it (even after trying to move apps to the 64gb SD card I have for data).

It's still a great phone though and have not really had any issues with it.

It doesn't matter about the launcher, Touchwiz lag is caused by background services that you cannot turn off. The only way to get rid of anything and everything Touchwiz is to use custom firmware, but that degrades camera quality unfortunately.

I'm planning on potentially getting the S7 Edge, would it be an upgrade or at least a worthwhile investment for someone with a 3T atm? Mainly looking for the better battery and screen, camera is a bonus too. My 3T has pretty poor battery life. Is the Samsung lag noticeable or very minor?

The s7 edge has one of the best battery sizes out there.

The screen is amazing - you can change the settings to be super accurate (I think basic mode) or have it with really punchy colours (not too accurate but the average consumer prefers it).

The camera too is the best in the business. All in all the camera, display and battery are better than the 3T's although all these elements in the 3T are good. Just the S7 Edge has always retailed at £570 and the 3T has been £399 for 64gb and 128gb for £440. So the onus has always gone to the 3T on pricing terms.

If you can get the s7 edge sim free at very good used condition with genuine warranty for less than the £399 then it's worth it!

Hope that helps.

Massive help thank you. I got the 3T for £268 from the O2 refresh deal in perfect condition. I see a S7 Edge Grade A for £370. So 100 pound more then, I have to decide whether it's justifiable.

Having used Samsungs and HTCs in the past, Samsung battery life is much better after the initial year. The OnePlus phones are quite good value in the market but not sure about their battery life.
