title and description says S7, however picture / manufacturer code seems to correspond with the S7 Edge

Ordered s7 edge other night from John Lewis. Is this definitely the edge. Do I need to reorder?

SO THAT`S MAYBE S7 EDGE IN REALITY WILL BE SOLD TO US ? Somebody need to call them to find out what the phone it actually is !

Just called them and they confirmed picture is wrong. This is the S7 and not the S7 Edge.

Nuts.

Had this been the Edge I would have bought.

Well in every part of the sale title and the product description and the specifications it screams the normal S7 and you think it is the S7 Edge and you order it, just based on the picture and ignoring everything else.

LoL 🤣

£15 cashback with voucherbox

Which is better for this deal? Edge or standard S7?

Seems only the edge is being discounted as S7 standard is still retailing £450+

Very confusing??
Edited by: "vij_chauhan" 24th Nov

Ordered one because I'm after the S7 but the product code in the spec seems to be for the Edge according to samsungs website

Look like edge to me too, it is hard to find normal S7 on sale .

Out of stock now.....

Has anyone got one of these yet to confirm what they sent. Hoping to pick mine up tomorrow pm so will comment back then

Went to pick mine up and surprise surprise it was the S7 Edge. However, they have agreed to send out an S7 and refund me the difference so lets see what actually turns up this time. Will report back tomorrow

Same issue. Except they will investigate and get back to me in 48 hours, as opposed to just sending out an S7

If they wouldn't swap it I was going to try the samsungrecycle deal instead as I wasn't really after the VR headset - don't think my wife will use it!

Trying to figure out which is better the S7 Edge or fight for the S7... Mine is arriving today.

Given the choice which is better?

I've received the S7 edge

JL are going to contact me tomorrow re: sending me out an S7 and the return of the S7 edge.

Called JL customer service who told me to go into the store and they will order me a S7 and swap the S7 Edge handset that was sent.

Went into JL this evening and the member of staff said they can't swap the handset and can only offer a refund.
Quite the contrary to some replies above

Did you folks have this resolved over the phone, or had to go in-store?
You're feedback would be appreciated!

Did they send you the S7? What do you mean by refund the difference? I've got my delivery (edge obviously) but they won't even let me keep what I've got, never mind sending me a replacement.

They have sent me an S7 which i now have. The woman at the click and collect desk rang the warehouse to get it dispatched. I had to keep the VR headsetwhile they returned the Edge. They then ordered me the S7. They also credited my account by £71 to offset "buying" the S7. However it looks like ive also been charged the price difference twice so need to ring up and complain about that. I havent unboxed the phone yet in case it all falls spart

Mine was done in store but they couldnt give me a store phone as it was different stock control. They ordered me a replacement phone to be delivered which i got but still need to chase them about charges as they credited me the price difference to cancel out the difference in price on the new order but have billed me the increase twice

Thanks, I understand now. I'm still waiting to hear back from the escalation team, but everyone I've spoken to so far has told me it's impossible to split a bundle. Good to know it's not. Good luck getting your money back.

I've not heard anything back from their customer services team yet.

I've not heard anything back from their customer services team yet.

The CS team who phoned me back today insisted I could keep the S7 Edge & Bundle OR return for a full refund and £15 compensation (£15 I have been on the phone for 2 hours so far (£7.50/hour)).

They are adamant the S7 Edge was the correct phone to send as "The S7 Edge matches the product code assigned to the website page at the time".

My order confirmation and their website clearly state the S7. The S7 specs were listed. Everything stated the S7 in the text. I am not expected to be able to interpret whatever their product code is, that's their problem. They've now taken the website page down completely last time I checked.

They said take it or leave it (the above offer) on the phone to me after a long back and forth discussion, whereby they were rude/blunt/disregarding all I was saying IMHO and sticking to a script. I then told them they must be having a laugh and see them in the Small Claims Court.

Anyway, a "Senior Manager" will phone back again within 24 hours when I said that.

I have now - coincidentally, received an email from John Lewis asking me how my shopping experience... buying an S7 was. And reminding me of my S7 warranty.

I have screenshots of the website, listing the S7 as the product sold, including all the S7 specifications. I have the order confirmation stating I bought an S7. The contract is enforceable as I paid and they delivered the product, albeit they are in breach of contract for delivering the wrong product to the one I ordered, when it was not an obvious glitch or glaring error. They've wasted 2 hours of my time - I've already been told on the phone last Saturday by their team "It was our error Sir, and even if the S7 goes out of stock, we'll get you an S7 from Amazon because this is completely our fault. But we can't send you the S7 yet until the investigation is complete". Perhaps they should listen to their own calls back.

They don't have a leg to stand on in court. They are meant to be a company of excellent customers service, yet I haven't used them for years due to them mucking me around a few years back. This isn't even about the phone or the money, it's about messing me around with the amount of time I've been on the phone and they are now in denial mode, even though they openly admitted their error only last week!! Especially when your unique company point is your customer service.

This is about the principle now, for me.

EDIT: They also said the investigation would be complete in 48 hours and I'd hear within 48 hours, and this was when I phoned at 1pm on Saturday. I had to phone on Monday to chase, Tuesday to further chase & they only got back to me on Wednesday. Shoddy all round.

Do let me know how they respond to you There seems to be very mixed messages & varying helpfulness.

They emailed me to say they're still investigating.

Their "senior manager" never phoned me back, even though they promised by 13.00 on Friday at the latest.

Lodged a formal complaint with John Lewis yesterday morning via email, and asked for all further contact to be via email. Gave them a 7 day deadline. No reply as of yet. I'll probably escalate to CEO office if nothing heard in 7 days before Small Claims Court. Not entirely certain how the process goes as I'm not exactly claiming for a monetary value, but I'll probably put the cost of the claim at the John Lewis S7 price (£420), along with the cheapest retailer selling the VR (circa £55). That would mean £475. Minus the cost of this bundle (£379), so the claim would be for £96, with the understanding the S7 Edge & VR Bundle would be returned on the Court's request.

I have also collected evidence of the total time spent on the phone, and provide evidence of my usual hourly rate & bill at that on top.

Never taken a company to court but I hadn't forgiven them from years ago & now they are at it again. Maybe they have a defence, but as far as I am aware, they are in breach of contract and should rectify it - especially as they are "The" company of Customer Service. They have the S7 in stock and have already told me it's their mistake & "they'll sort it". Now they have gone back on that completely.

The S7 was £499.95 when I checked the other day on their site and the VR headset ~£85 from online retailers with a high street presence.

I just want what I've paid for.

Me too. Although I have to claim a monetary value in a Small Claims Court, so I'll have to claim the monetary value between what I got & what I bought.

On my last phone call the other day, they made it clear that the correct phone (S7 Edge) was supplied, as per their "stock checking" system. The ID number of the product on the website matched what was in the box (According to their investigation).

What they simply could not comprehend was that the website said S7, regardless of what their stock code for the bundle says. But they said I can only return for a full refund and £15 compensation for receiving mixed messages earlier - whilst I actually want what I ordered too.

I've been waiting for a response over a week now. Each time I contact CS they tell me it's with another dept so have to wait on them. I'm getting pretty annoyed at them now, this is taking the mickey.

How'd folks do on this one? I got my S7...

Been waiting for the various credits and debits to clear from the pending transactions on my visa card. They've finally disappeared so I've ended up with my S7 and VR headset for the original price they quoted. Its a gift so I haven't unboxed it yet - really hope its ok!!
