I had the L74 Wide, wide angle lense and touch screen, very similar, it was a good camera, excellant build quality, and not ugly.

I like these retro styled cameras, just bought a Canon G10 from duty free, it is also retro styled.

Clearly you don't actually understand what that means.
A manufacturers warranty is in *addition* to your Statutory Rights as a consumer, and is not a legal requirement.

So what you are trying to promote as a negative is actually a positive.

Chortle Chortle!! How stupid
Of course you can use recharable batteries!!

So what would be the best camera around for £70?

Talking slim and stylish that could fit easily in your pocket on a night out.

Good point, I'd forgotten Play were in Jersey

Jersey do have a new consumer protection law coming into force, but it's still at the draft stage at the moment.
Play aren't particularly known for bad customer service though.

The only thing stupid is your post and your short sighted'ness. Yes ofcourse you can buy rechargeable batteries . But if you dont have them then you need to invest in a decent charger and batteries, which means you will end up paying more then £69.99. Great if you already have them, but since not everyone does......i still say BUYER BEAWARE for possible added costs!!!!!

I now exactly what it means as the UK Consumer Direct been helping me, unfortunately I will have to contact Jersey Consumer Direct.

Basically in my opinion Play.com will not get my custom in the future because of poor service!
