Whilst this is indeed a very good price, and I've voted hot accordingly, I thought it was worth pointing out that this is not an IP/network camera. It has a BNC connector for hooking up to a suitable DVR, security monitor or a PC with a CCTV card installed, or similar. It doesn't work via your network/router. Many will of course know this but I thought if I mentioned it then it might save some people from buying it and not being able to use it. Cheers OP, good price.

So does the BNC also provide the power to the camera or do you also have to run the power cable as well as the BNC to the camera?

700 Television Lines (TVL) will provide average but not particularly good image quality.

There are some good kits for reasonable money that have 1000TVL and are far sharper for identification purposes.

I'm not sure £40 for a stand alone camera represents the best value for money.

Separate 12 volt power you can get a dual video/power cable from your recorder to supply it depending on the type of dvr you have. What i cant see if the size of lens you really want a 4mm or less to give you a good wide angle coverage
EdIt Specs from Samsung say its a 3.8mm with 72 degree viewing angle

ancient technology

Analog technology but these are good cameras if you have a 420TVL system and looking to upgrade without changing the whole system.

The night-vision from this camera is better than a lot of cheap ones.
