I think its hit and miss but thats what saving money is usually about. most the bargains on here get cancelled anyway etc.
if you go for it and its not up to standard they pay for the return and you have a refund a few days later.

Seems a great deal to me.

Been waiting for a 2nd gen i5 for around this price for a while. Ordered.
Seems weird not to have USB 3 but looks to have Bluetooth 3.

Also, I bought a 'Like New' Sony F-series laptop from Currys on ebay a few months ago. I knew they either had the description wrong or the model number wrong as it was a mis-match of tech specs in the description, so I asked them to confirm the model number and bought straight away since it was a potential bargain. The lappie arrived and it was only the seal that had been broken, otherwise a new item. PCWorld currently sell the laptop for £1100, I bought it for £640 and I'm over-the-moon with it and Currys. I think I'll go for this for the wife and hope it's in an ok condition, otherwise I'll have it sent back. Nice spot @ashtad and I'm going for that one. Voted hot op.

Can you put refurbished in the title please.

I know I'm always moaning about poor screen resolutions, but that's just taking the ****.

6 months warranty so very risky, i bought a 1st gen i3 purple HP from argos for £269 and am waiting for it now but after seeing this i was going to refuse it at the door but then i saw the warranty and also thought about my sons experience with Currys/PCworld refurbs and i thought no way. My son had a really expensive laptop from these with Bluray and all the bells and whistles and from day one he had nothing but trouble, the laptop had not been repaired it appeared that they must of turned it on for 5 minutes and it worked so they sent it out as working. The there was the problems getting a replacement or money back he had a right game. I would personally stay well away from these as they are idiots who repair them and with a 6 months warranty and shoddy repairs it stands a very good chance of failing. My HP im betting will be new as there's no way a retailer could have this many refurbs of one laptop in one colour and have none in any other colour they are more than likely just getting rid of stock.
Hot ordered
have you guys seen the other one which is £451 approx, it has a higher resolution and is also a high spec i5.....

Are Samsungs generally good quality laptops?
Hello all I went for one these Samsung laptops. Got it delivered on Friday. However, I have noticed it has a slight flicker, shows up everyso often when browsing the internet.
Is this an inverter problem? Should I take it back.
Same flickering problem with mine. Only presented on Windows, not evident when using a linux liveCD. Tried everything to sort it but had no luck. I've returned mine today.
