I have gone for the white one. See what it's like and get a 30 day return if I don't like it. Cheers.

Wow these are so overpriced! Sub £100 and I'm in
Great find, been looking at these but they were never worth 350 plus. 180 is more like it.
Use of the term "3G" is a bit intentionally misleading.
I'd have got one immediately if it had a SIMCard Slot. I use Google for everything, mail, pics etc etc.

I am sure they do and if you take out the noseyness etc of it. I prefer seeing ads that are relevant to me rather than the usual "Enlargement" type ones.

Yes, they are more like the original netbook concept, which was aimed at a price point of 200 dollars. Of course they also had a 7" screen, so you get a lot more book for the money here, in some way.

I think Chromebooks have a future, if they can hit the 200 dollar (150 pounds) price point?
I stand Corrected! They are 3G! Thanks OP, I'm getting one now.
can u install win 7?

Just about to correct you on that.
"This model includes integrated 3G mobile broadband connectivity via Three, as well as ultra-fast Wireless-N networking for connecting to home or office LANs."
Though reading the reviews, it seems they don't come with a sim card.
Tempted myself, nice size, but the OS might be just too limiting.
So I can user my there Sim card?
I just checked some reviews and they are all pretty good for the hardware, they just say the OS is very lacking (opening .zip files for example). I would think Win7 should be installable on this but I havent had time to check if anyone has done it.
Or even my three dongle Sim card?

I have been researching this, and it seems not :(. The original Chromebooks CR-48 had a leaked hacked bios available.

However Ubuntu can be installed.

It comes with a Three SIMCard, I wonder if that means it is locked to the Three network? I have some T-Mobile unlimited data SIM Cards I would rather use. Bear in mind if you are planning to use a SIMCard from say an iPhone or other smart phone in something like this, they can tell and throttle your speed down to 2G depending on your network.

In a word NO
Unless you hack the bios and remove the motherboard so that you can remove the SSD from it by carefully prising it away from its permanent mount without breaking the intrusion catch underneath the SSD.
These are a complete waste of money as you cannot upgrade the hard drive or the memory. Easier to replace the CPU on a Netbook than doing it on this.
That is why there are so many second hand units. Cutomers get it home and realise they cant upgrade it so return it.
not need this, i can still wait til it drop more..bargain though>heat added

... as yet another poster completely misses the point of these.

The CPU is decent and dual core, so much better then the average netbook. You would never need or want to upgrade an Atom CPU, it would be no doubt cheaper to sell your old netbook and buy a new one.

The memory is already at the maximum limit specified by the Intel chipset, even if you could add more Intel won't let it work.

For browsing the internet, with a massive battery life, decent keyboard, good sized screen including 3G the price is decent (not quite as amazing as the white price though)

If the software does not offer everything you need, you can install Ubuntu to have complete hardware access, and a massive library of software.

RE: the 3G, I believe you get a 3GB for 3 Month Mobile BB Sim with this (unless it has changed) but for anyone hoping to use a Mobile PHONE Sim (AYCE or equivalent) 3 lock the Sim to the Dongle (3G card inside this book) and they won't work!

Not voting as I believe these are still overpriced, just giving folks a heads up......
Just had the Arctic White one delivered. Went for the cheapest £135 option one that said like new and it has come brand new and still sealed in the box.

Well surely "The point of these" doesn't really matter if the hardware is overpriced, it's overpriced.

Not that I'm saying it is mind.
Mascherano

considering single core 10" netbooks are never much under £150, I doubt that a dual core 12" will get that cheap any time soon
Apart from booting quick why would you get one of these?
