Heated. Looking for a duplex myself.

Any idea if replacement toners are cheap for this?

You can buy compatible ones from £12, just search the printer's name on Amazon.

Has me tempted. However I'm not educated on all the differences or know what I require. I'm wanting to avoid the cheap disposable £15 ones if I can. It likely be gone by time I decide.
I'm glad cheapish toners are a option.

Greatest printer in the world if you just want to print in B&W. it flys through printing large documents!! I do recommended it to anyone that I speak to. I do get some very strange looks talking about printers!! but its great. cheap replacement toners!! £17 for two on fleebay

Great printer, had it a year zero problems. Fast, quite quiet and easy to setup.

I wouldn't call it a greatest, but I am very impressed with mine. Very fast and doesn't jam.
And it is very tiny, great for flats

Great cheap printer got 2 neither have ever had a problem. Cheap toners on Amazon/Ebay, no problems with them either.

great

Cheers, been thinking about a cheap printer for a while and the comments here have persuaded me that now is the time.

Fantastic printer had it for over a year no problems. Only issue I have is that if it has ' gone into deep sleep' you have to manually wake up, it won't wake on qued document.

Ordered. Thanks OP & others

Own this, it just works.

Will the ink dry out if I'm only doing limited printing(a few sheets) every few months?

Nope toner doesn't dry out like ink. A toner printer will be perfect for printing once in a while.

Anyone reccomend a cheap duplex laser printer?

similar question: could anyone recommend cheap laser printer with scanner (mfd) with option to buy generic toner? thanks

It's a laser printer, so there is no ink. And toner is in power state, so won't dry out.

yep.

This printer but with the scanner is what I have. Currently on sale at Currys for £69.99 here.
Even uses the same toner cartridges as this one.

Monochrome laser printers are ok for just plain b&w text letters but rubbish for anything else. I'd rather pay extra for a colour one.

Best thing I ever did - constant problems with ink jets drying up, spent a fortune! now have a colour laser in one room and a monochrome all in one with scanner!

Toying with buying this as a spare!

Colour printers after so many prints need reset which on some is impossible, you have no choice but to bin them. Monochrome you can leave them for months on end and they are ready to print. My last colour printer was nothing but bother and at the end I had to bin it as the printing time run out. If you need something in colour send it via email and they can view it on their tablet.

Anyone know if a wireless version of this exists? Or if you can suggest a wireless mono laser alternative that would be cool too.

I am also looking for a wireless duplex b&w android compatible laser printer if anyone comes across one.

Or you can buy genuine Samsung ones for about £40. Haha (although to be fair, they should last longer than the starter one included, which prints about 500 pages)

Yes, there is a wireless version. Search SL-M2026W. Like this one, sometimes the price is high, sometimes it's low. Good price for the wireless is about £40. Or see the SL-M2070W with scanner. £70 in Currys as mentioned above. Or £70 less 20% as an amazon warehouse deal (ie damaged box or customer return)

Isn't that a bit cheeky only including starter toner? I guess not as bad as Lexmark (years ago) with their cartridge-less printers that didn't even include a USB cable.

Most printers only come with starter toner or ink - but enough to last a few weeks or more depending on your usage..
And most don't include a USB cable.

They're both ways of being able to sell for a lower price.
