Hot.
Very nice looking tv/monitor.

A great price for an excellent TV. The lack of digital is reflected in the price but very good if you would only use Sky or for gaming for instance.

Good deal, you can get a freeview box for £17.00 at ASDA.
Voted hot.

Really annoys me the way these companies put old tuners in modern sets... Whats the point???

They all should have dual tuners for the price.

good price i bought this a year ago for 249.00 looks good but picture quality not the best!

Very good deal, have been looking for a TV this size for a decent price. Thanks!

because it's a Pc monitor?

Interesting. It doesn't actually say anywhere in the spec at Laskys that is has a TV tuner, so I checked on the Samsung website and it seems it has samsung.com/uk/…htm.

So assuming it does have a tuner, perhaps they didn't realise and priced it up as per a 19" monitor.

A few years ago I bought a TV / monitor from Dabs, and it had an OPTIONAL tuner module and remote.

The 19" has a TV Tuner built-in and is HD which can support upto 1080p, but that doesn't mean it is 1080p - Keep that in mind. As i used to work at curry's and we sold these 19" at retail £249.99. £100 off is a bargain. Does anyone know if you can get the 20" or 22" with the TV Tuner as they are oly PC Monitors, i would really like to have the TV Tuner, HD and all the input connections on either the 20" or 22"! Anyone know?

so do these have a scart input at the back?

i.e could i connect this up with my Virgin Media box in my bedroom?

edit: Sorry i should have read the op properly.

I couldnt see any thing about a remote control though?

Thanks

From the Samsung link I posted above:
Other include accessories
Power Cord, Audio cable, Remote Control, RGB Cable

I've got the non-pebble one which has been my tv/PC monitor/PS2/wii hookup for a while now.

The TV quality (may be a fault of the virgin box in comparison) through SCART is rubbish in comparison to a larger set using Sky+ through scart (possibly not a fair comparison but i'd imagine a smaller set should hide SD flaws?)

I'm on my third one - first one kept losing its backlight, 2nd one they sent me did the same, and the 3rd one seems tempremental with the speakers. A mate has the same problem, though my dad's one is fine.

I presume its the same electronics inside, so just be careful, as there were also a huge number of refurbs of the other model (940MG) available a few months ago

Surely the 20 inch is much better? Its £159.99 at laskskys

laskys.com/pcs…tml

plus it has a 3000:1 contrast ratio as opposed to the 1000:1 of the 19inch. also higher resolution of 1680x1050. What do people think? shame its out of stock at moment

Great deal, ordered the SM2233BW a few weeks ago from Laskys, Ordered on a Saturday and came on a Tuesday for £198.99 cheapest anywhere on the web! Great customer service to when I wanted to change from the 20" to 22" after order had been placed. The monitor is stunning! I presume this 19" will be great to.

I think people are mixed up between monitor/tv and monitor only.
The item here is a TV / Monitor where as the 20 and 22 inch models mentioned are monitors only.

This item is £169.99 at Comet if anyone wants another option.

Is the brightness ok on this thing, i really want a cheap LCD (TV) that connects to pc. would this connect to my PC because im unsure if it has VGA input

it has vgi, hdmi and a lot of other connections

Cool Thanks For The Confirmation!!!

missed out on this amazing offer, it seems that the offer has expired, now showing as 169.99 and as a PC Monitor only no mention of TV tuner

I ordered it yesterday, and the price had gone up to £155, I thought I would give it a go anyway, I'll update everyone when I receive it (hopefully tomorrow)

£169.99 now

would anyone recommend this HDTV as a TV? laskys.com/tv_…tml
as i would only be using as a TV anyway, plus it has functionality as a PC Monitor if i wanted..

Thanks

Just to let everyone know, I received my TV, and I can say I am very very very happy with it. Can't believe how cheap I got it for, so happy. Even at £169.99 its a good deal for a 19inch Samsung. Quality.
