I have seen many reviews on these 'Samsungs' and a lot of the early ones failed after a day or so.

Do some research before buying as 1TB's of data is a lot to loose!!

Do Not Buy! These Drives Do Fail Alot!

that was true in the first batches, but i have one now and has been fine and so do alot of other people

They have a 3yr warranty and backups aren't rocket science

My 750GB equivalent has been fine for 2+ months. Very quiet quick drive, all drives nowadays are not as reliable as they once were due to production costs etc. Would say there as bad as each other. At least you get a decent warenty with these.

3 year warranty means nothing to me if i lose 1tb of data. I'm sticking with seagate

That's what backups are for. If you have 1tb of data sitting on a disk without a backup your just asking to lose it.

Always buy double the disk you need. 1/2 for data. 1/2 to back it up again.

thanks, ordered one.
