So yes, there are cheaper SSDs out there, but it's not an apples to apples comparison. I'd generally lean towards paying a little extra for better drives than cheap ones as I've had a few cheaper nvme SSDs fail on me.
There is a reason it's more expensive, this drive has DRAM-cache, the others do not...
The only other common 2.5" SSD that has DRAM-cache is the MX500 and it's around the same price as this for the 500GB.
That said, I'd say it's a little overpriced, but not much.
If you just want a drive for storage, backups, etc, then go for a cheaper one
For your OS and games, this will perform better.
DRAM also increases the endurance of the drive, so there's that too.
