Great tech, mega pixels etc but ultimately all that matters is whether the lens on this camera any good. Anyone know?

WOW, fookin wifi and DLNA in a camera, that rocks. I love seeing technology progress and this is a big step.... Nice

I think there have been a few cameras with this technology but they are now starting to appear in the budget cameras.

Would be interesting to see what battery life is like with all the geo-tagging going on.

Nice camera, but why exactly would anyone want to "at any time at any place, update everyone in your network to the greatest things that ever happen to you"
Ego maniacs! ;-)

They certainly seem to be tooling up camera's these days!!!!

Does it make tea ?

halfpenny

Does it make tea ?

No, but it will take a photo of your tea and geo-tag every photo of every cup of tea you have on Google Maps, whilst twittering to everyone you know that you are right now having a cup of tea.

Getting Paranoid Stupidly.

Good price for what sounds like a good camera. My girlfriend is looking for a new one and the wifi and bluetooth capabilities will go down a treat. I've also been looking at the samsung P150 which recently dropped to around £100, it has similar features like 5x optical zoom, around 12Mp and 720p video recording, i like the twin screens on the samsung but the touchscreen and connectivity of ST1000 may swing it for me. Heat added.

You do trade off picture quality for the wealth of connectivity options. This camera certainly excels in connectivity and paves the way for more cameras in the future to include this much connectivity at this price range.

can you install tom tom on it lol

Looked long at hard at this, but went for the Sony DSC-TX5 instead. Similar style of camera, but with decent low light performance for a compact, which is a boon for any budding photographer
