16.2 mega pixel and 5x optical zoom, not bad for 40 quid. Heat from me.

I was looking at this last week. They had no memory cards though.

Just ordered. Good reviews. Cheers.

Good offer. I don't like white cameras myself though.

Great find op, looks a good camera, reviews say it has a fast shutter speed to doesn't over expose pics.

Just to add, here's links to the other colours, which are part of the same deal (with 8gb sdcard):

ST72 in Blue
ST72 in Red

had lower model a while back - pretty good in nice light

the fast shutter speed is up to (or down to) 1/2000 which is not different to most so not sure why they mention

Nice. Bought one as a cheapie to take on holiday. Cheers OP.

I really need to stop looking at this Website thanks though OP just bought it

Bought this camera a few weeks ago from asda at the same price, very good deal and a very good camera!

Just ordered too. Great deal for my holiday. GF will be well happy. Thanks!

You would of really thought all modern camera's would be 1080p on video, every new smart phone is 1080p so don't understand why camera's aren't!

every new smartphone is 39quid with 5x optical zoom etc etc too

This is a good price if just wanting to pay £40.

CPW have the Samsung ST150F WIFI model and you also get the Samsung Galaxy Fame mobile phone all for £59.95 as a bundle.

The one review it has on there says it doesn't actually come with the memory card.

thanks just bought a red one or my daughters birthday.

Panasonic DMC-F5EB-K.14.1MP.2.7" LCD.Samsung ST752.16.2MP.3.0" LCD.

Yes, they BOTH have far too many megapixels for a compact (it's more about marketing than picture quality but that's the way things have gone).
3" LCD should be an advantage (subject to quality of screens of course), though it does suggest that the Samsung camera body may be a bit bigger too?

Anyway, they're both good little cameras from respected brands at amazing prices. For me it would be the Panasonic but you pays your money and makes your choice....

The Panasonic is still the bigger camera in size, it measures 97 x 58 x 22mm, the Samsung measures 94 x 58 x 18mm.

I have the Samsung, its the Wifi model ST150, its a really nice machine. I also have the Fujifilm T400 with 10x zoom, but the Samsung is still the better quality camera regarding build, performance and screen resolution etc.

So you don't have THIS camera then.

Like I said, they both look good and are terrific value but I prefer Panasonic. Not keen on white either but at least it's not pink!

Lol, The AGFA is £14.95, not £40. The AGFA was already in the world of cameras way before Samsung and Panasonic had their models in the pipe-line.

The funny thing is! when that model AGFA came out back in 2006/2007, it would have been more expensive than the Samsung and the Panasonic.

tbh none of that means anything and neither does the colour or the shape of it!

Exactly - isn't tech deflation fantastic! That said, fewer Mp and better lenses meant some of those older cameras were excellent too. 7Mp is plenty.

Do you have a link please? as I can only see the phone for £59.95 + £10 top up on line no camera.

I currently have a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T1 5MP, that was purchased years ago.

Would this camera be any improvement?

At this price, I know it's not going to be brilliant in dull light, so only looking for a basic camera that may be better than what I have at the moment.

Please explain!

In my experience people will buy a product thinking of the brand, the price and the specification of the product. If someone wants a 3" screen, they will not buy the 2.7", it certainly does notice when you have two cameras side-by-side.

As for mega-pixels, a 3MP camera is suitable for printing out 7x5 photos.

Dont they say the human eye views images in 6MP, so a 6MP camera takes photos as you see them.

whenever i have bought a camera i have never thought 'aha! i must get a 3inch screen as 2.7inch just wont do for me no matter what'
much more important than the screen size is the resolution and the quality of it (along with the rest of the camera)

as for megapixels its CLEAN pixels thats needed
if you have a picture of 10000000000megamushpixels of poor quality then the image may not look acceptable until you resize it down to 2megapixels so you can print it out passport photo size.

its like the guys that come in and go LOL 2ghz sux when there are different architectures and cores etc
