Cheapest 1.5tb ext I could find with decent enough reviews.

Great drive, great price. Bought one from Amazon recently - nice drive.

I would put the fact thats its 1.5tb in the title, saving people having to read into the description to find out what size it is...;)

Good call - thanks!

I got one elsewhere months ago @£85, it's a quality device

One of the few drives that does get good user reviews.

Doesthis have to be plugged into the mains?

Take care if you have problems with the drive. I recently had a drive delivered from Scan, which was shown as faulty in the manufacturer's diagnostics program. To be on the safe side, I even used my camera to take photos of the error (DOS based program, so couldn't easily do a screenshot).
However, Scan told me they tested it as working, and charged 15gbp plus vat before the refund, even though I offered the photos as proof. I was told these would not be accepted, unless they showed the serial number of the drive. A problem when the manufacturer's tool doesn't show the serial number on the error screen.
In the process, I had two emails ignored before I resorted to calling them, and a promised email from a manager never arrived. I'm now attempting to get the full balance back via a chargeback. I won't be using them again.

I have had this device about 6 months now and paid 90 quid from Amazon. It is quiet and at this price excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

Not presently available. Website says "pre-order. currently awaiting eta"In other words they don't even know when they're getting them.

Great price for this drive.

I'd prefer it to be an eSATA though... ive no more USB ports free on the back of my PC and would rather not use a hub.

Got the 1tb a while back and its been great.

Yup - it's a plug in version.
Looks like I was lucky when I bought - will be delivered by 12.30 today and only ordered at 2pm yesterday. Cracking service from Scan.

This is a great price, I paid £80 for mine at the beginning of the year.

Created 2 partitions, formatted one to FAT32 and use it to connect to my PS3 as well.

I've had this drive for about 6 months and it is very good. However, the usb cable it came with developed a fault. Drive though is reliable.

This seems to be a completely different drive - both the picture and the name code refers to something else.

SAMSUNG HXSU012BA/G52 is a 120GB portable - looks like a listing error by the seller

Cracking hard disk - paid best part of £80 at xmas. If their capacity wasnt so big id buy another at that price!

It's out of stock with no ETA?

out of stock...

Expired now, but if you have got one, well done, had this for 6 months now attached to the PS3.
I paid £80, but worth every penny!
