Samsung LC49HG90DMUXEN 49" Curved 1ms Ultra Wide 144Hz Monitor - 32:9, Quantum Dot, Height Adjust, HDMI, Displayport Brightness is 350 cd/m²The super ultra-wide 49-inch screen with its innovative 32:9 aspect ratio means you always get to see game scenes in their entirety, exactly as their developers intended. And the 1800R curved panel immerses you in gameplay and delivers iMax-style cinematic viewing for movies and video content.

Equivalent to two 27" 16:9 monitors side by side, the 32:9 super ultra-wide screen provides the ultimate in multitasking flexibility. Forget about multi-monitor set-ups — with no bezels impeding your view and a single power cable for minimal clutter, you can multitaskin truly seamless style.

Samsung QLED delivers purer, brighter, and more lifelike colours — especially reds and greens — than conventional monitors. And Samsung’s new Metal QD technology ensures longer lasting, more natural colors, whether you’re gaming or working in applications where colour accuracy is critical.

QLED supports High Dynamic Range(HDR) for images with a wider range of luminance levels that render dark areas deeper and light areas brighter — so you see your games in the same remarkable detail as their developers intended.

Nice but some may be put off by the 1080 vertical resolution. There is a 1440p variant if you want to spend over £1k though. At times you can get an X34P for around this price or lower - if you can accept 21:9!

Heated OP.
Not voting either way, this was posted for £599.99 just a couple of weeks ago, that was a bargain. I've bought mine for £719 a year ago, prices do go up and down for this, so you might want to wait if you're not in a hurry.

The 1080 and the ratio is a bit odd for me, now if the 1440 is this price, it would be good. The other bug bear is how slow it is to bring up the menu using the button.
No game developer ever intended their games to be viewed at 32:9. More.likely is you'll end up with black sections on each side of the screen in many games.

Most games are surprisingly flexible especially moderns games I have near across the board support on 21:9. Most modern games are build with 3D engines after all & really don't care how much of the world you display at any one time.

Some older games may have issues but even then it's usually fairly easy to self patch the game to display as you want.

Definitely I'm upgrading this from a 34" inch 3440x1440 display so I'll definitely notice the overall lost in pixel density. However my old display is 75hz which kind of limits my Titan Xp. This being 3840x1080 while pushing 144hz will give me room to push my graphics card.

The other thing is I'm stick of still using two monitors as despite having a 34" Ultrawide I still find it isn't enough desktop space to behave as a second screen. Essentially two 1080p monitors will be.

I picked this up for the £599 on prime day. Still feels like a hell of a bargain. I don’t even game that much, but I do work from home a lot. From a productivity standpoint this thing is incredible. Obviously I’m delighted to have paid less, but I’d still be happy if I’d paid £719.
