Wow how cheap are monitors getting now!
Great find and warranty for 3 years to boot nice.

Frick, £77 for a 19" Samsung is ridiculous. They are a great monitor maker. Sony are you watching, nobody is going to buy your expensive dross any more.

Sony are going the way of Sega

Good deal on Sammy monitor

Brilliant price. I have had a Samsung monitor for something approaching 10 years and it is still going strong. I wont be buying this one unfortunately as it is only VGA connections and I need the other one (cant remember the name).

Heat added.

I've got one of these and it's brilliant, it died after 2 years extended use but a quick call to Samsung and they brought me a new one with no hassle or cost, brilliant!

Btw, you can use this monitor with a DVI connection if you buy a DVI->VGA connector (usually about 2 quid on ebay)

I'm using a Mac with DVI to VGA converter and a SyncMaster 723n - works fine.

fantastic price, I bought a couple of 22" Samsungs off them the other day, very good turnaround time.

Could anyone help me please. I need a new moniter and this seems like it is perfect. I also need a wireless thing which goes into my USB port to connect onto my wireless modem. Is this the right thing I am looking at....

or can you recommend a good one. I don't really want to spend much more than £15 if I can help it. Thanks.

any reviews of this? I have a 940BW and don't rate the panel at all, terrible viewing angles and seems to be put in upside down! (goes negative from above!)
edit: i guess this is similar to a 920NW which has plenty of American reviews newegg.com/Pro…100

I have this monitor bought around the £130 mark and i am pleased with it at that! This is an excellent price!

****** just brought this however, I realise my GFX card is DVI output only and this is VGA. Can anyone help tell me what I need to convert the DVI to VGA?.

DVI-I has converter that you can use to turn it into a VGA plug.
You'll need a DVI male to VGA male adaptor, or a DVI male to VGA female adaptor with a VGA cable.

sod it i'll order one, samsung can't put all their panels in upside down at least the build quality should be better than the recent Acer etc deals.

ebuyer are shuffling around their 19" prices, the scaleoview is now less than this

Nor have I typing on a computer than has a samsung monitor attached which is 6+ years old.

not that its relevant but my very first PC in 1995 had a samsung 15" CRT thats outlasted everything after it and has just been dumped (2008) because its obselete, sadly, but still worked.. LCDs in my experience are prettty reliable, the backlight tends to just dim.

I'd personally spend the £4 more and get a DVI connection ebuyer.com/pro…542 This Samsung only has a VGA connection but when using a VGA connection it will degrade the picture quality your only really notice when looking at small text it will be fuzzy compared to DVI

Brillaint monitor well happy, good picture quality and build, I rather buy Samsung who are getting a much better rep for service and build. Really impressed.

did you pay for next day delivery?

i ordered on 30th super saver free del. and they tried to deliver today, i was out toboganning should get it tomorrow., crossing my fingers its better than the 940bw (even though its a lower model i know).

I've been using this monitor for a couple of days now as a dual monitor for my laptop and it seems great! Had to play around with the settings first but looks fantastic now, strongly reccommended! Ordered on the 30th and received on the 3rd with super saver delivery

just got mine and set it up. not a single dead pixel or subpixel so far. no noticeable quality loss from VGA. excellent. panel seems better than the old 940bw also. confirming the stand isnt height adjustable, nor does it swivel. only tilts back and forward.
brightness comes at 100 so be sure to turn it down (for the first couple of years!)

only 19 left if anyone else wants one
next cheapest seems to be £90 at CDiscount.
these would be great for multi-monitor setups too imho.. i'll put my 923NW and 940BW together at some point and get them calibrated, shouldn't be much difference. both have the blue backlight bleed issue, panels don't seem to have changed much over 2 years. viewing angles have got a bit better though.
