4.01% tcb too @ mymemory (£5.06 just tracked for me)

Use code BFFL to get £8 off this blisteringly fast ssd. Comes with cables for usb-c and usb-a in the box. Cheaper than Amazon by quite a few £’s too

Portable apps, live Linux, file backups, OS backups. Bootable OS...All 'off site' if you carry it with you...

Video editing is why I got one, store the files on the SSD as the tfr speeds with a MacBook Pro are so fast and won’t slow the rendering down.

I think it’s fairly limited vs cheap portable storage like hard disks. I have one and usually use it for moving stuff in a rush but not for long term backups. There are many people who do use these but the use cases are definitely more ‘professional’ I would say.
good find

Get one of the 850 evos that stores are trying to get rid of since 860 evo is here. Buy a sata to usb cable like this. Save 30ish quid.

Norman HDD could be damage by your movements. SSD not, since it's portable. I'm very sure there are some important stuff in there, as usual the speed.

I’ve usb-c to sata cables and they’re not as fast as these drives.....As someone said above, these aren’t for long term storage, the 4tb mypassport drives are much better value. These are to use for tasks where speed is needed such as video editing.

But not as fast unless you know of a usb-c thunderbolt 3 speed cable. If you do please share a link as I’ve sata drives that aren’t fast enough and it’s the cables I’ve bought that are the bottleneck.
I was going to buy the T5 but I decided to get the WD Passport instead due to it using a standard 2280 ssd.
