Because it would be £30 cheaper and doesn't involve purchasing anything from Very.

Is that the 660p?
This is a SSD not a SDD.... Solid State Drive...

I'd do the same, then if I wanted to put it in a pc or laptop later I'd have the option. I had a portable hdd before which was just a enclosure really and the enclosure broke, took the drive out and it worked fine but you can't do that with this.

Any enclosures you'd recommend at that price? Mine will be used either on consoles or on my PC via USB-C, so ideally needs to perform at full whack on PC with UASP, but just plain old 3.0 support for consoles is fine.

Bought a Sabrent rocket recently and will probably go for one of those over Intel.

haven't got one myself so can't really recommend but I was looking at this one. It has support for UASP and is 3.0

amazon.co.uk/Ext…2LT

but there are a few choices at under £10 on Amazon/eBay.

The reviews are awful

as if amazon reviews mean anything at all... half of them are fake. I even read one the other day reviewing an SSD but was complaining it's not compatible with an apple watch ?!?!? There are 6 reviews on this item, 3 are bad, 3 are excellent. So which is it ? One says they "binned it"... why would anyone do that when you could return it for free, highly likely to be fake review.
