Decent tablet, best price yet!

EDIT: On the HUKD Black Friday thread, it seems Currys will be selling this tablet at the same price with a case and memory card included. So good price, but the best deal may be around the corner.

Currys are supposed to have this for £149 with free case and memory card for Black Friday too!

I've got a 6 year old and a 10 year old that have been using old ipads. This is their upgrade.
Think this will drop any lower on BF

Doubtful, based on previous price drops.
This is a good drop.
I've just bought 2 though, so 😬

I'd say this is the lowest it would go. Buy buy buy
Just bought the gold from John Lewis for daughters Christmas present. Been watching for a while, doubt it will go any lower. If it does, I'll buy again and send this back
Heated. Is this better than the Lenovo Tab P10 10.1 inch Tablet with Android Pie OS @£149 from Costco?

we have 3 of the kids fire tablets, 1000s of games and apps available as part of the price (think its a years worth as part of the tablet price). Had them for a year near enough and now happy to pay the monthly fee (£4.99 up to 4 devices) for the kids stuff. You can use a normal fire and pay the sub to get the same.

I've been eyeing a good tablet myself. Seems like this has always been the second or a secondary choice for me. Seems to be a close match between the Huawei MediaPad and the Samsung.

In case you can afford a few extra bucks, my suggestion would be to go for the Huawei MediaPad T5.
With the additional RAM, better camera design and processing power it would mean value for money. At this point i@m unsure if I'm confusing you by adding another choice to your list, so my apologies in advance. I'm sure you will definitely give it a thought since this is merely £20 higher.

Been looking at this to. Sons birthday is this Friday and undecided on this or tab A. His 2016 Samsung A has just died.
2016 Samsung A did have a lot of problems. So must say If you're strapped on budget the new Samsung A Tab is not bad.
However, my views this will serve you best.

I have it. It is just alright for basic stuff such as watching Prime Videos and YouTube and checking emails.
Looking to get a 10" tablet for parents for Christmas. Used for browsing and watching BT Sport, Sky Go and YouTube. Anyone any ideas what would be a good choice upto £150 or would it be this Samsung? Good battery life would be high up on their wants list. Thanks!
Good price for this, it's a nice tablet but 2GB let's it down. Just had a play on one in Currys PCW and found it a bit unresponsive. Agree with the poster above, bought a Huawei Mediapad T5 32GB with 3GB RAM on the Amazon DE deal a few weeks ago for £120. It's a better tablet and the one to go for at this price range if it comes back down in price for Black Friday.

Yes I'm also torn between these two buy Ive also seen the T5 go lower!!
There was a leak for the Currys "Why wait" sale this week where you can get on of these with a case a SD card for £149. It was posted here last week I think.

Regardless, heat added.
Ive got this tablet with 4G and its pretty good, the display is particularly good so watching high def movies or looking at pictures on this model is very enjoyable, the 1 place I would say it falls down is the processing power, it does sometimes take a few extra seconds to load apps and the lack of ram means if you have web pages open, when you minimise the app, it forgets them so when you bring your browser back up it has to load them again rather than keeping them open in the background, this happens with quite a few apps as well.
The Huawei T5 is the way to go if you cant make do with the above perceived lack of power but with the Samsung you do have the advantage of not having your internet history and info held by the chinese government
Didn't have time to click it for checking its specs, but if this is the 2019 version with 2gb of ram then I'll suggest to have a look at its 2018 predecessor version which to me seemed better specced with more ram and better sound. I'd appreciate actually anyone pointing to the cheapest 2018 version to put it on my purchase list,if any worth the deal.
The 2018 version with 3gb ram has been reduced to £209 at John Lewis. I am tempted to buy🎄

John Lewis cannot see it on there site now

I've got a Huawei paranoia after the "Google Huawei ban"

I know, but did you know it's just been banned in USA. Unfortunately we'll feel it as the playstore in the newer hardware sold by the company may need installing Play store separately. I've had similar concerns, myself but have managed to overcome them.
I had this in my John Lewis basket but it is now saying no longer available and when clicking through to the product page it says the page cannot be found

Got this free with BT, pretty good
Just purchased this to replace my daughters asus 8", I was watching the prices and waiting to see if a drop would happen it may be £10 cheaper elsewhere over black friday but I'm happy I didn't buy it a week ago.

I called customer services and they confirmed stock in john lewis bluewater and arranged for them to call me. I ordered the 10.5 model for £209 reduced from £249, paid by card and it will be delivered to me.
