Only 2gb ram, that's slow now, my old Tablet is 2gb and you really do notice it.
Tempting, to replace a 16gb version which is full.

As Edged mentions...I wonder...what would be the next step up from this, to get more RAM and something a bit more futureproof?

Or is it a big jump in price, and better to stick with this?

Having extra RAM is always good. Maybe the Huawei M5 lite at £199.99. The on-board Harman quad speakers has the best sound for media usage, if that matters to you, or the Huawei T5 at £150, only dual speakers. Still better than the one sided speaker sound of this Samsung.

I've got this tablet and the ram must be well optimised as runs really well. As long as you're not playing top end games on high setting's this tablet handles everything. Screen quality and sound is excellent.

I also have the Fire 10 which is great for the money but the Samsung is worth the little extra and feels a lot more premium.

Yeah you could be right but it will still be a shorter lift tablet with only 2gb, you can get the 3gb version very cheap to, I can do most things on my tablet but it's now struggling with 1080p at 60fps, stutters here and there, 1080p 30fps is watchable but now I know it's not playing smooth I stick to 720p which is still very smooth and very watchable.
