While looking at the Lenovo S8 deal I saw this on sale at Currys. I was looking at getting the Tab S but opting for this at a shade over £200.

Use the code IPADTAB20 to get this price.

BTW You can use the code in store as I went and picked it up at lunch Pretty nice tablet so far..

These might be 'Open Box', because the Currys eBay store has them in Open Box condition for £240, and it's unlikely they are selling their 'new' stock for cheaper.

Just a thought.

Great price - not sure why it's struggling and the Tab 3 10.1 goes hot for nearly the same price!

Thanks for posting been waiting for the Tab S to drop a bit but at this price doesn't seem worth the extra amount.

Great deal, wanted to post it myself but I went and bought it first

Fantastic price for great tablet.

Just done the screen test and there is no backlight bleeding. Great tablet

@Hiphophustler I went and collected in store earlier and mentioned about the £20 off, they scanned a code and gave me the money off.

I'm also torn between Lenovo S8 and this Samsung
What do you think is best value, I would like something that will last a while

Get this awesoe price...before they alll go. I have the 8.9 model its also fantastic.. well spotted

Does this excact model has 3g connection?

Hi

Good deal. Paid £269 for mine from Expansy.

Assuming these are pretty good then? Only used the tab 7s and they are gash, put me right off samsung tablets.

any chance you could run an antutu benchmark?
curious to know what octo cores have over quads, thanks

If you order click & collect do the safeguards of distance selling regulations apply?

Hot deal for a nice tablet but can the 16Gb storage be increased by SD / microSD card?

Yes, you can expand memory by external sd card (up to 64gb I think)

Was going to go for the S8 deal but the bigger screen and better support for rooting etc swung it for. Just picked one up ... Week old Hudl2 goes back tomorrow !!!

Great price

Nope WiFi only

Sold...was trying to resist replacing my old Xoom and to stick to my phone for a while...ho hum!

Awesome price for such a recent tablet - prices are tumbling. Watch out Apple.

Many thanks OP.

I can confirm this works perfect. Just drove up to my local curry's store and sales assistant at the counter was able to discount from £229.99 to £209.99. Many thanks for the update on the deal

Distance selling is for buying 'unseen', if you pick it up, clearly you see it (and can reject it).

Pays to get it delivered then. Thank you.

up to 128gb - pretty much any/everything can take 128gb. (128gb in my galaxy tab s 8.4/lte).

Brill price

Bought this directly from Samsung for £234 a couple of weeks back and thought that was a baragin.

I hate the touchwiz launcher which seemed buggy and slow. Installed nova prime launcher and things seem to run smoother and more like a normal tablet.

I think all tablets and phablets should have 2 micro sd slots.. they have the space so why not?

Most if not all current octo-core Tablet SoCs only use 4 cores at a time and it's a feature to extend battery life not performance.
I'm sure if you read some techie reviews it will clarify if this one is of that ilk.

thanks for this

Can anyone tell me if the black one is the same price in store as online white is only available?

Thank you for the post, got it £209. Some salesmen didn't seem to know about the £20 discount code though.

Just ordered mine . Many thanks !! heat added

brilliant tablet can pair it with my note 4 so excellent thanks op got the 20 off in store

Currys also have the Nexus 7 2013 at £170. If custom ROM availability is a factor, that one's the winner and it also performs better than basically anything under £300 including this Samsung (some high end Xperias surpass it, and the new nVidia Tegra K1-based tablets including the Xiaomi MiPad and the yet unreleased Nexus 9, nVidia Shield 2).

IMO the sweet spot for size and weight is 7-9 inches (8-something being perfect). LG g pad 8.3, Lenovo S8 are great mid-range options at the prices you can find them right now (except for the lack of well-supported custom ROMs, and that for some reason the are only available in wifi version in the UK with no 3G or 4G versions).

paid £380 (tesco) back in may for this tablet, its amazing and i use it everyday.

How would this compare to my iPad 3?
