Sorely tempted, slightly put off by the misleading bezel though. This is real-world:

Can't see any reference to Vesa might, can anyone confirm?

No VESA unfortunately

I have this monitor - it's great!
Got this a few weeks ago, great monitor.

Remember to update to the latest firmware to enable Freesync.

What are people’s thoughts on this being a VA panel?

Also when would they take payment? On dispatch?

Not a big fan of VA over IPS, less crisp, motion blur and black crush.
Shame it isn't 24", don't have enough room for a pair of these!
Do you think it would workout as dual monitors 2x27?

Ah so it is! I was tempted but it's a slippery slope.. Id buy it then I'd need to get a new graphics card as the 980ti doesn't support freesync. Shortly after I'd then 'need' to upgrade to a nice ryzen build! Best I just stop looking really...

Nvidia are making a lot of Freesync monitors work with their GPU's. THis may be one of them but I'm not sure.

I also have an extensive list of unplayed Steam Games, its become a bit of a game in itself, just making the list grow, I share them with my sons so hopefully they are getting some use

I have 3 x 24" 60htz monitors atm so would really need 3 x 27" or a 49" ultra wide, also only have a 1080gb so need an upgrade.

I believe the acer can output 10bit at 120hz.

Bit depth has nothing to do with refresh rate. Easy way to tell bit depth of panel is how many colours it lists 16.7million is 8 bit 1.07billion is 10 bit maybe 8bit + fec.

So this Samsung has 1billion colours when checking the Spec on Samsungs website. So does this mean it is 10 bit or 8bit + fed?

likely to be 10 bit but its a va panel so worrying too much about colour isnt important they arnt that accurate anyway

Yeah it may need calibrating but I'll take it being 10bit. Thanks for the info

What if you have nvidia card?
I read ips panels aren’t an issue so much regarding refresh rate because they don’t use PWM, I’m someone who’s eyes burn on a 60hz monitor but my IPS tablet seems fine. I then play halo on 120hz via my LG/Xbox combo and get eye strain still, wish I could solve the issue....I can say though refresh rate has made a massive difference, I have a VA 144hz benq and it’s really helped, but still have issues
Also you can download iris, most people won’t know you need your brightness turned to 100% or you actually decrease the refresh rate, iris tricks your monitor/pc allowing to turn down but maintain the full refresh
