Was very tempted... my current phone is just plain old! This is a good price, BUT the reviews (and there are LOADS) are the oddest I have ever seen on any product! People rate it either as SPECTACULAR.... or total DUD! :?

It seems there is a problem with some, where the voice cuts out and there is no solution around, so it could be one of those "gamble" buys - it's either going to be great, or its' going to go back with all that hassle!

[FONT=Verdana]Mmm, the only alternative I suggest is the Samsung Genio Touch but I've not used it - I'm planning to head over to a Vodafone store at lunchtime to see if they have any stock to allow me to try one out.

This is smoking hot ... brill phone. The problem with the calls cutting out was with an early batch of O2 models, it does not affect these silver vodaphones. With the Quidco this is almost half the price of them in Vodafone store.

Well, the reviews are NOT old ones, otherwisew I would have assumed that the problems had been sorted by firmware upgrades.

I can get about £35 recycled for my LG Viewty. Do any of you think it's worth replacing it with this? I've had enough of my LG viewty.

I got the Phones4u deal (Samsung Tocco Lite £78.25 on O2 with free 8GB mem card) last week for my sons' birthday on saturday. He is delighted with it ... then again he's just 13! :whistling: The deal was that you have to buy a £10 top up... however, despite the covering letter with the phone saying that P4U had already activated the top-up, this wasn't the case and the phone still shows zero credit! I phoned their CS this morning and the woman said that they had been having probs with the top-ups and said that she would send me out a £10 cheque.

Anyhow, I myself have had the LG Viewty for about a year and, whilst it isn't fantastic, I personally wouldn't swap it for the Tocco Lite. Sure, there are more eyecatching widgets and stuff, but at my age, that kind of thing doesn't turn my head very easily! ... The biggest thing to me though, is the lack of a flash on the Tocco lite camera. I use the viewty's camera a lot and this would be a big miss for me.

When I come to changing, I fear I would have to look at a higher price bracket for the next phone.....

bought this last tuesday on orange for £80 from dialaphone and its a great little phone had an lg prada before and didn;t really like the touch screen but thought i'd give it another go and the texting etc is alot faster ,had no cut outs and battery seems to last well got it last tueday and sent quite alot of texts, made calls, and had a fiddle with it and it still has about half the battery left so seems to be doing really well i got it in white and it looks good as well

hope this helps anyone its a great bargain

ordered a couple of phones, quidco only tracked at £5 though, the description for vodafone said £10 per phone ? any ideas anybody ?

Just reading it and noticed that it says no camera autofocus. Is this normal on phones? My phones so old I don't have a built in camera....

Thanks

Anyone know if this works with 3

There MSN compatibility checker thing doesn't list this model

No. This is not a 3G phone unfortunately.

oh well the Vodaphone 5800 it is then

I have this phone on O2 and I think it's fanastic. Ok it lacks 3G, however it is a Tocco 'Lite', but other than that its great and well worth £70+.

The only thing that I would have liked on this phone is a flash for the camera, the same applies to the LG cookie.

Anyway To Unlock This Phone

Yes. Get a mate who's on Vodafone contract or has been on Voda PAYG for 12 months, get them to put their sim in the phone and ring CS and they'll give you a free unlock code.

Hi,

Can anyone help. Ordered the Samsung Tocco Lite recently which i think was locked to the vodafone network. Accidently entered incorrect passcode when i stuck my wife's O2 sim in there to see if it works.

Now it says something about sim freeze and to contact network provider. Is there anyway i can get this off.

If i phone Vodafone, will they be able to do this or are they likely to take no responsibility?

Thanks of any advice.

You'll not be able to fix a phone freeze yourself, you'll have to get it done in a repair shop,or pay to get it done online,

Vodafone could fix it for you, they may do since its under warranty, contact them and check, they can only refuse and say it was your fault for entering wrong codes
