Phones4U have the NEW Samsung Tocco Lite on their website for just £97.80 on Orange pay as you go. This price is subject to you buying £10 airtime, hence the total cost of £107.80. Delivery is free of charge. The tocco lite is very similar to the tocco, however some of the features aren't quite as great. It does have a bigger screen, though, and for the price difference it's certainly worth it!!

Samsung S5230 Tocco lite is a slim and compact phone that packs in a plethora of multimedia features. The mobile phone is equipped with a 3.0 inch full-touch screen. The device comes with photo contact that allows you to make a phone call simply by touching an image in the mobile phone. This is one of the super-thin mobile phones measuring just 11.9mm. The S5230 Tocco Lite has a number of multimedia features packed in, including a 3 mega-pixel camera that has Smile shot technology as well as video recording. The mobile phone also supports multi-media functions, this enables the phone to provide a much better sound quality. The Tocco Lite is equipped with Shazam Find Music facility. This helps you identify music by holding it up to the speaker. With good looks and functional features it is sure to find a number of customers. The Tocco Lite lays emphasis on two of the greatest features of a mobile device- the camera and music. Samsungs TouchWiz User Interface together with Mobile Widgets will enable you to use your S5230 phone intuitively and without any hassle.

Looks a great deal for such a new handset, voted hot.

No 3G and no wifi - what's the point!? Totally useless IMO.

Thus the "lite" tag. More of an entry phone not a iphone killer as EVERY touch screen must be.:?

Exactly what I was thinking

Yup I agree to compete with the LG cookie, I found the Cookie to be pants, all touch phones really need the Iphone style capacitance screen to be really usable, or a real keyboard. Also no Wifi means - FAIL.

speaking as someone who has just purchased an LG Cookie - DITTO!

anyone know how touch sensitive this is? The Viewty (my previous phone) and Cookie (current one) are both irritatingly clunky... not bothered about wi-fi as have a very lovely ipod touch that does all the clever stuff. Just want a decent touch sensitive phone that doesnt cost a fortune!

Nokia 5800.

Nokia 5800.

does that have a capacitance screen?

Its currently shipping with a resistive screen but is due to switch to a capacitive screen in the next month or so.

LOL at these credit crunch inspired sub-£100 prepay handsets.

The full fat Tocco is bad enough.

Cold - it's one of many designed to be this price and then dressed up as a good deal.

what's that? Contract due up soon and deciding whether to get Nokia 5800 or Samsung Tocco Ultra. Can get Nokia no problem but would have to haggle or shop around for the Tocco Ultra, but won't bother if I decide it's not any better than the Nokia.

a capacitive touch screen doesnt use a stylus (eg iphone, ipod touch) a resistive does use a stylus (eg nokia 5800). It should be worth waiting for the 5800 with a capacitive screen, which looks like its going to be called the 5900.

Thanks for the explanation Ben. Repped (Hope i did it properly)

This looks like pants to me.

I got one a pink 'full version' Tocco from Orange on £15/m contract (18m) with 200m and unlimited texts.
My daughter loves it.

But instead, I could buy this 'lite' version that over the year with top-ups will probably cost more cost more !
Perhaps not.

are these easy to unlock?
