If you have old phone lying around on your desk, I think this is the best way to get a new phone with tradeup value your old phone.

Samsung currently having £100 tradeup offer for your old phone to purchase A3 2017, A5 2017, S7, S7 Edge, S8, S8+, S8 Duo and Note 8.

I have an old S3 phone at home, the valuation from the website is £15, I will receive this in bank transfer after I send my old phone to them (free prepaid label/envelope, but if you have expensive phone you need to use special delivery with your own cost). I get an instant voucher £100 to purchase any of above phone. I use it against S7 Edge, So I only paid £279 - £15 - TCB 4% for the S7 Edge

Potentially combined with Samsung Switch program.

Voucher can only be used in shop.samsung.com/uk

Example:

Galaxy A3 (2017) = £229.00 - SAMSUNGSAVE15 = £214.00 - £100 (tradeup) - tradein value = £114, then less tradein value after sending your phone (bank transfer)

Galaxy A5 (2017) = £299.00 - SAMSUNGSAVE20 = £279.00 - £100 (tradeup) - tradein value = £179, then less tradein value after sending your phone (bank transfer)

Galaxy S7 Edge = £399 - SAMSUNGSAVE20 = £379 - - £100 (tradeup) - tradein value = £279, then less tradein value after sending your phone (bank transfer)

For the rest you could calculate yourself.

Please don't forget TCB 4%,
SAMSUNGSAVE10 £10 off when you spend over £159
SAMSUNGSAVE15 £15 off when you spend over £200
SAMSUNGSAVE20 £20 off when you spend over £250
SAMSUNGSAVE30 £30 off when you spend over £500

Extra discount has been ended on 23/11/2017.

People really should read at least the first part of the opening post to understand the value of this.

Heat added, even if I don't use it - it's a pretty good deal.

Whilst it sounds like a good idea, £20 is what they wanted to offer for my S5, I think not...

Just be aware, Black Friday deals are apparently live on the Samsung website so may be worth hanging on for a day before commiting!

And a lousy £15 for my perfectly working S4 - no thanks. We can both get a few more years out of ours I'm sure...!!!

Needs a minimum total valuation of £10 to complete a trade.
I wanted to use this for my Moto E (2nd gen). But it's only valued at £4.

Offered 131 for my s6 edge plus. Game will give me 167

Can this code add up if you have two different phones to trade in ?

Good deal. What about a perfectly working s4..with smashed screen? Had it lying around for years now..

£195 + £100 for an S7 Edge

Is there anything stopping you getting the 100 voucher, but then never sending in your old one?

Anyone know how long it takes to receive the voucher to spend? They're giving me a valuation of £80 for my S7 Edge with totally messed up screen and unusable. So £180 off a new S7 Edge will be great but I need it quick. Thanks.

Quite a few have done this on the Samsung Note offer, they say you can't use the voucher if you don't send the phone in but if you've already used it and decide not to send it in I don't think there's alot they can do?

I have a totally bust S7 Edge (cracked display/LCD). When I answer no to all the condition questions (ie. everything bad) it still gives me £80 as the payout. Is this correct, will they take seriously damaged phones?

Also how does the code work, do you get it once they receive you phone (in which case BF offers will be over I'm guessing)?

I also have an S2 worth £1, where's the T&Cs saying has to be worth £10. Could be worth buying an S3 or similar off ebay I guess.

The phone I'd send is in excellent condition but has 'ghosting' on the screen. I can't find any mention of this affecting the price Samsung would give, but would they offer a revised price to me after sending it and checking it?

no only one recycle code can be used, tried on the Samsung switch deal.

Trade in price sucks a bit
IPhone 6 128gb £135

Better prices elsewhere

My phone is only worth £1. I’m worried about £10 minimum value mentioned by thepurpleducky but can’t see it in terms.

If you try to progress through the trade-in checkout, you'll get the following message...."You must have a minimum basket value of £10 to complete this sale."

Annoying because I have a working S2 lying in a drawer somewhere

Plus the £100 voucher.

True I missed that, it's not cash tho and I just don't trust ANYONE I'm sending something to, there's do many will rip you off, change the valuation etc, presumably the OP hasn't closed the deal yet so we don't know whether they'll mess about.

It's ok for a £15 phone but I certainly wouldn't do it with an expensive one

Actually I just did it and it gave me the voucher straight away. But now I see the Samsung site says Black Friday deals start tomorrow, so I'm thinking I should wait until tomorrow in case there is any further saving. Anyone know how long the SAMSUNGSAVE20 code is valid for? Thanks again.

Seems a reasonable saving

Just proves my old S6 and S7 are worthless as will my S8.
And the wonder why people buy iPhones.

I asked via online chat and was informed as soon as you make the sale the confirmation email contains the voucher code.

I wonder whether you could trade in 2 separate phones and get £200, in addition to the trade-in value.

Pretty tempted. I have an old HTC M7, which is only worth £12 trade in (apparently), but with the bonus that would be £112 against a new Samsung.

I've no idea which company is checking the phones for Samsung but I don't think there were any problems reported from the Note 8 trade-in deal posted a few weeks ago.

Just sold my Note 4 to music magpie which will pay cash - £134 - that I can spend anywhere. Probably get even more from eBay.

Samsung offer £40 for the Note 4 + the £100 voucher, so about the same.

However with Samsung you have to return the phone first I imagine?

I doubt I could get more than £80 for the S7 Edge with totally damaged screen (through to the LCD), and definitely not more than £180.

Stupid question probably, but if you get the code sent straight away in the email, what stops you using it and not sending your phone in? Or what if you use it and they refuse your phone Etc

Do you get the value of the phone plus 100 straight away or more just the 100?

Yes i recently traded in an iphone & they deducted £25 off for ghosting.

Cheers.

My intention is to trade in a lesser phone to get the £100 and take the S6 to Game.

I'm expecting the delivery to arrive this afternoon.
TCB tracked as £11.16.

So S7 Edge for £279 - £15 - £11.16 = £252.84 it's a good deal for me. I'm not using that S3 anymore.
So it's really a good deal for me. I put my finger crossed hoping they will not reduce any further for my old S3.
It's still in perfect condition, only it very slow compare to nowadays phone (excited). I haven't sent my S3 to them.

They offered my almost 2 years P8 for £30 (plus £100). But I won't take it as P8 is still a great phone, no performance problem at all.

So what happens if you don't send in your S3 or it got refused for some reason? Would Samsung charge you £100 somehow?

Holding tight in hopes we may see a further reduction for BF, though even if there is they may just remove the trade in offer.

I've got a barely used gold S6 that is continually rebooting. Sometimes I can use it for 5 minutes but it always ends up rebooting. Not a mark on the screen. I was wondering what to do with it....maybe this is the best option.
