Sophisticated In Design
Constructed with sophisticated metallic materials, the Samsung U28E590DS features a clean, understated look that's all about focusing on the screen. It's been designed with clean, meeting lines, resulting in a sleek stand and neck that take up as little room as possible, so you've got more room for everything else. It's also compatible with VESA 75 x 75 wall mounts, so you remove the stand completely if you wish.

Versatile Connections
With HDMI compatibility, you can plug in PCs, games consoles, Blu-ray players and other HD AV devices, while a DisplayPort connection will let your pair up with UHD-compatible devices and content. With the U28E590DS, you can connect multiple devices to use the same screen for work, play and entertainment.

Two Content Sources on One Screen
With Picture-in-Picture 2.0 technology, you can use your U28E590DS monitor to view content from two separate sources at once. It supports resolutions up to Full HD and won't downscale the content, so you can rely on high quality images on both pictures. In addition to PIP, Picture-by-Picture Mode will let you connect two PCs to the same monitor and divide the screen in two, so you can have all of the information you need in front of you at once.

Enhanced gaming
The U28E590DS employs AMD FreeSync technology to minimize input latency and reduce stuttering and decelerating while playing games by synchronizing the screen refresh rate with the on-screen frame rate. This helps to ensure a smooth moving picture that keeps up with gameplay.

A dedicated 'Play Mode' lets you adjust your display settings for optimized gaming quickly and easily. It smartly detects the changes in scenes and enhances the colour and alters the screen's contrast to make dark spots darker and light spots lighter so you can see all the action at all times.

Support for UHD video resolution at 60 Hz via one of the HDMI ports also makes for enhanced picture quality and smooth animations.

Exhilarating Visuals
Play, work and watch on the U28E590DS and experience it all in incredible Ultra HD. Ultra HD is a resolution four times higher than Full HD. With support for an astonishing 1 billion colours, high brightness level and superfast 1 millisecond response time, the U28E590DS ensures that images, videos and games are vivid, clear and smooth in movement

Open your eyes to the incredible Samsung U28E590DS monitor. Featuring a 4K Ultra HD resolution, rapid response time and great connections, this elegantly designed monitor has been constructed with a space saving form that will perfectly compliment your desk.

"One of the main things to keep in mind about the Samsung U28E590D is that it doesn’t support HDCP 2.2 meaning that you will not be able to watch HDCP2.2-protected content in 4K on Blu-rays and certain streaming services such as Amazon Video and Netflix.

The monitor does support HDCP 1.4 which means that the protected 4K content can be played, but at 1080p max."

Worth knowing.
For those wondering, this is a TN panel!

Thanks for that reminder/update. If you are using a graphics card the same actually applies, it has to be end to end hdcp 2.2 for 4k protected content. If you are multi monitoring (really really small segment here - all the monitors would need hdcp 2.2 ).
Can anyone confirm the clarity running this in it's non-native resolution of 2560 x 1440 or 1920 x 1440 (assuming it will run at these resolutions)?
I'm not referring to using windows scaling, but actually setting the resolution to the above as the works graphics cards are nowhere near powerful enough for 4K native. I'm aware I can get a QHD monitor instead, but I like the option of PBP and PiP.

Some monitors look really bad when you do not run them at native resolution.
Can these be hooked up to PlayStation 4 consoles?

PS4 Pro consoles require a 4K TV to get the most out of them.
