Now just waiting for the 40" series 6 version to drop to around £500 for the bedroom (still around £700)

Price even lower @ £180.49

Can anyone recommend anything better for a bedroom TV, mainly used for freeview and Xbox 360? I have a budget around £200 max. Hot Price

Wish the 32" C5100 or C5800 would drop. Infact any mainstream 32" LED backlit 1080p TV under £300 would be good at this stage.

BTW voted hot, first time i've seen these below £200.

I bought one of these for me mum for Christmas for her Kitchen - really great TV, think I paid £190 ish so at this price bargain! Don't think you can get anything better for the money.........

Excellent TV, the USB movie mode is fantastic. Play anything from USB without the need for a separate device!

We have this tv in the kitchen. It's excellent - very slim with a bright, vibrant picture.

the samsung UE22C4000 is £160 on argos if there's any in stock near you, that's the one I'm looking for, for around £160. Stumbled on a willentrading.co.uk from a price comparison site with them refurb/as new for £170 with 6mnth warranty.

Does this receive Freeview HD channels?

Still too much for me for an over-rated Samsung model.
For the same money, following the tip on here I went for a KOGAN 24" with an integrated freeview recorder included (you just need to add the storage media (memory stick/HDD whatever you like via USB) - fantastic screen and LED illuminated so also extremely slim.

What do you want freeview HD on a 22" for? I'm all for technology etc and am a gadget freak but even I wouldn't expect HD in a 22", you wouldn't notice a difference

Actually just last week I managed to find 1 @ Argos wolverhampton for 159£ (~157 after Quidco). It was the last one i could find anywhere in abt 300 miles radius.

By the way for those who are looking for a better deal Tesco is sellfing it for 160ish on their ebay outlet (labelled Refurbished with 12 momths warranty but i suspect its new, end of the line stock).

Not many (me included) wouldn't dare have a no brand TV in my house, I wanted this for several reasons, 1. it's white, great for the kitchen, 2. it's really light weight, great for on the wall mount for swivelling around, 3. it plays movies via USB so putting a 1TB HD velcro'd to the back for kids cartoons etc during brekkie, 4, has great sound for an LED (i tried it max in currys), 5, it's a decent brand.....

I'm glad you've found one your happy with but for many they'd prefer this.....

Thanks for that... I did look at the info provided, and it wasn't clear to me, hence me asking here. But then, I don't spend all my time keeping up to date with the latest TV technology and its terminology, which no doubt, is of the utmost importance to someone like yourself.

Ah. It'll be used in Spain, and I'm not sure if the HD channels here have identical or different programming to normal ones. I assumed the HD channels were independent, but you might be right, and they simply transmit the same programmes in HD.

HD is DBV-T2 which this doesn't have so sadly not....

Damn - I brought one last month from Amazon for £215!
These are awesome, it is a TV and a MEDIA PLAYER! you can plug a USB drive into it and play music, photos or a number of different video files including MP4. Picture quality is awesome.

Best of all, I didn't want an ominous black TV set in the bedroom as the rest f the decor is light.

Or possibly someone using this on a desk or in small kitchen may notice the difference more then someone sitting a couple of meters away from a larger screen.

Although personally freeview HD isn't that important to me, I can see why those that don't have Sky/Freesat distributed around their house might care. Especially if the screens wall mounted and they don't have anywhere to put an external box. Obviously they aint gonna get it at this price

Anyone know if the sound is any good on these? I've heard sound quality on 22" TV's is normally pretty poor.

Voted hot great deal for LED.

I have a 46" B7000 series Samsung LED TV and would describe the sound on that as poor, fortunately I normally use a 5.1 system.

However, assuming this would be used in a smaller room and for secondary viewing it wouuld probably be acceptable if its audio performance is similar to my TV.

Really as TV's get thinner, the audio quality is bound to suffer (unless your prepared to throw money and effort to aleviate matters).

Good price, heat added

i have this tv in beedroom realy good tv selling it now tho as got a bigger one

Works great, I already do it with my 50" samsung in the fornt room for the PVR.... Adhesive Velcro is about £1.50 in most DIY shops..... Job Done and you can then remove it easily when you want to change the media

I'm holding out for the 6 series
