Why is this not getting voted hot? It's SMART, it's 1080p, it's 100Hz, it's Samsung, and it's over £300 new everywhere else. So at £240 surely it's a bargain?! Yes I know it's a refurb but that's surely reflected in the price?! IMO this is a great find, heat added!

Smart Features include all the Favs that other Smart TVS dont....
Iplayer, STV/ITV player, 4OD & 5OD
No smart Tv's offer all these features other than Samsung.

Also the PLEX application is great if you have a server or a PC to stream media its fantastic.

You do need a dongle though, which costs another £30.

Thats only if you want to connect wirelessly, I would connect via cable myself for HD 1080p content from DLNA, but yes for some users that is what they will require. Most TV's at this price would not even have WIFI as an option.

A fair point for anyone looking to connect wireless tho.

If you can show me a Samsung or any other smart TV with WIFI for under £300?

Not 1080p, but as the reviews say, you probably wouldn't notice much difference at this size.

I prefer quality also plugging in PC to a 720P Screen makes a massive difference to the Quality and any xb360/one, ps3/ps4 user will appreciate the quality of the graphics. Nice try but your showing that for £10 less you can get an 720p ready screen compared to a 1080P I would pay £10 for double the resolution myself.

Also considering that any of theSamsung UE32F4500 screens on Ebay are more expensive than this one I still consider this to be a great deal.

That is a 5000 model not 5300..

Missing the main point of it being a Smart TV and has less connectivity.

Added the fact that its 10% off this must go hot now?

Probably.

I'm debating this vs the F5000 in Currys with the £20 O2 priorities discount. I can't seem to find out whether the F5300 shares the same panel as the F5000, as it's actually superior to what's in the F5500. Plus the F5300 being a refurb does make me think twice.

Thanks!

I have this TV - its brilliant. obvious downside is you have to buy a dongle to access the smart features. screen and sound quality is impressive and with Freeview HD built in is a bonus. managed to convince Asda to sell me this for £175 last year as a misprice.

Would this be quick enough to stream HD content? Could it be used as a Repeater and a wireless connection for the TV at the same time or is it only selectable through one mode at a time?

Maybe look at similar options, including the ones with integral battery at similar price delivered ex-UK Royal Mail 1st class , example: ebay.co.uk/itm…465

The samsung Plex app is great I do not have this exact model. But It does run great on my TV

Tip turn off transition animations in the options to make it a lot snapper when browsing content.

95% of the content also streams direct no need for transcoding. Only really for personal videos etc

Yes, I totally agree. I have the UE55E8000 and it is the best TV I have ever owned. The Plex app is more or less in daily use and I couldn't imagine having a TV without it.

Was really just wondering if this TV (as this is one of Samsung's budget models?) was up to the task of it etc. I'm sure it is, was just double checking really!

Expired now,
Argos refurbs are crap i bet over half off these get returned as they are faulty

Got a friend who has purchased one of these last week.

Will be giving plex a shot hopefully so will report back.

Plex is the BEST Tho I now want a microserver for hosting plex

For anyone who is still looking for these.. one unit has become available again. Also I ordered two of these but will be refusing delivery for one of them so that will also probably get added back to their inventory in a few days.
