Just got this TV the other day. Excellent picture quality and a great amount of online features.

Just set this up. Have 152mb BB speed and still Netflix buffers like crazy.

What the screen quality like at 1280x720p across HDMI? Is it blurry? Was thinking of using it with PC, but 1080p res would be too small.

require a £250 spend for the o2 discounts. Need to find summat for a quid.

Voted hot but Currys would put me off tbh.

I was keen on a Sony in specific model KDL32R433BBU which is £229 at Richer Sounds, if any techno experts on here can offer me their two cents compared to this deal would be appreciated

Great if JL price match. I would for for go the O2 priority for the 5 year warranty.

I would say the Samung is better than the Sony for the following reasons

Samsung is full HD at a res of 1920x1080, the Sony is only HD ready 1366x768. In a nut shell the picture should be crisper on the Samsung, although some will argue at this screen size it would hardly make a difference.

Samsung 3 HDMI inputs, Sony has 2

Samsung is a Smart TV, so you can get things like BBC iPlayer.

Samsung has a quad core processor, this just means it will have quicker response for commands & using the smart features.

The thing I think is best with the Samsung other than it is clearly a higher spec (can't coment on actual picture quality) is that it has DLNA. This means it can stream files from your PC or a NAS

You'd be better running the screen at 1080p then scaling the fonts on the PC

going so well until the name Curry's was mentioned.

An issue with your router, maybe? Do you still get buffering on a laptop or computer when connected with an ethernet cable?

So Richer sounds should bring price down to £249

RS doesn't price match Currys because of 5 year warranty. Tried couple of times.

Make sure you have downloaded the latest Samsung firmware, as early version had sync issues with iPlayer I Don't have any issues with Netflix, only buffers half way through certain films as per norm.

Regarding the buffering, I have a different Samsung Smart TV (40 inch one can't remember the model number that cost £599 a couple of years ago) and YouTube is unwatchable on the built in wi-fi

I have to use a chromecast instead which works perfectly

Have tried the smart hub update but it just gets stuck in a continuous loop of saying it needs to be restarted to complete. Regarding this TV, what's it like up on a wall...is it thin enough to look nice?

Norm?

I have an MX2 Android box connected via cable to my router and I can watch HD movies with no buffering through xbmc

Topcashback has 6% for Currys large screen tvs taking it to £234, if classed as large screen.

If RS are giving a 5 year warranty with this model then £269 must be the deal to go for.
A 5 year warranty is worth £20 any day of the week.

How do you redeem the O2 code online? I can only do pay & collect for this item but that would mean I pay full price. Will they refund the £25 in store then?

Where? I've searched for it online and cannot find it anywhere on their website.
Even filtered to Samsung only and up to 32" size - nothing!
Been waiting for it to come back in at JL..

not relisted in the tv menu yet, obviously only just back in and not yet updated anything as it wont let u buy.
probably a price change coming

Followed link comes up at 269 at j Lewis so put a price match In with currys .will see if they match .warranty could be a issue though but worth a try.Richer sounds very hit and miss with stock levels

Anyone care to cast an opinion?

I'm currently viewing TV from about 9-10 feet away. I'm used to a 40" from around 12 feet away. Is 32" too small to get the same viewing experience.

Appreciate it's all to taste, etc, but I've never watched on a 32" before. Did try a Panasonic 42" which did seem a bit 'overwhelming'.

Superb- thank you

Has anyone got this wall mounted, I don't think these are really slim ? Especially looking at 48" model.

is it possible to stream modbro from my samsung s3 mini to this tv?

£269 @ John Lewis with 5 year guarantee.

Click and collect from a local Waitrose and grab a free tea or coffee on the way out. Much better than having to queue in Curry's then having them try to sell you an extended warranty.

We have this one in our bedroom on a slim mount. Not especially fat at 32" and sits very flush to the wall. You'd be hard pushed to find anything too much slimmer, let alone at this price. If you scale up the panel size, then you'd expect it to be a bit fatter. Best to go and look at them in the flesh.

I did the same and received an email back from them this morning stating that they dont stock this telly at the moment and that if it comes back into stock then they will consider the price match. They must have added the stock before he sent the message as it is clearly orderable (is that even a word ??) at the moment. I have gone back to him to advise him of his mistake

A similar offer was posted a few weeks ago. I bought mine form John Lewis for this price with the 5 year guarantee.

I attached an external HDD and so far it has worked with every video format I have used. I was told by an assistant in Curries that Sony is more restrictive with video formats (but I have never done a comparison)

Not sure if this would be an advantage to many but the TV does screen share with certain android devises. I happen to have a Samsung Galaxy Tab and screen share is really easy. Just clicked on the screen share button on the TV screen. Then go to setting in the Samsung tablet, tick screen share and that is it. The tablet screen is displayed on the TV. Both devices have to be on the same WiFi

I also downloaded a completely pointless app on Google Play that lets you stream a video of a log fire to this TV. Looks a bit like you have a log fire in the bedroom.

I think you'll find on a 32inch 1080p is perfectly big enough for pc use. 720p won't be blurry, but won't be optimised.

JL won`t match with Currys because it`s a different price.
EVERYTHING needs to match exactly.

Just ordered from JLP, click and collect from local Waitrose, pick up tomorrow.
Thanks for the JLP link.
