Changing the way you think about your TV, the D6530 will bring the world to your living room. Samsung’s Smart TV platform will provide a gateway to a multitude of entertainment ranging from video, music, social networking, news and games amongst others. Best of all, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity enables you to get online straight away. It’ll also help with staying in touch with loved ones from all across the globe thanks to Skype on your TV. Gather the family round on the sofa with an adjustable HD TV camera (sold separately) and display the two-way video call on your screen, allowing your friends and family to see you all in crisp and clear HD clarity.

The D6530’s panel is less than 3cms thick yet packs in a whole host of advanced technology. Its slim dimensions are made possible by LED backlighting technology. LED lights use much less energy than standard LCD and offer more precise control of colour, contrast and clarity. A cross-like stand design also helps to keep the depth of the set as low as possible when positioned on a TV stand. Thanks to the Samsung ‘One Design’, the D6530 sports a tiny 12mm bezel which makes the TV incredibly streamlined, consequently it takes up much less space than the models in its size of a few years ago. It’s the perfect choice for upgrading your 32-inch and above TV whilst filling a similar amount of space.

It also offers subscription-free HD broadcasts without the need for an external box. To watch Freeview HD broadcasts you’ll need to check that you can receive it in your area. Click here to find out more about Freeview HD.

Social TV combines watching your favourite programmes with interacting with your friends. Imagine you’re watching a crucial sporting encounter, or the X-factor results coming in. On a side bar you’ll be able to contest dubious decisions, celebrate great moments and gloat in victory. It’ll connect to your Facebook, Twitter and G-mail accounts through your TV whilst the story unfolds in front of you. If you want to browse the web without missing a moment, the flash supported browser offers a picture in picture display, so you can look for holidays whilst still watching your soaps. A neat Search All function will plough through the whole content of your TV, connected Laptops, PCs and other devices which are linked to your TV, such as your digital camera or camcorder. It’ll find relevant matches such as links to download the programme, a quick bio, its Facebook fan page and even whether the film or programme is on TV within the next 8 days!

Connect to a compatible 3D ready Blu-ray player and you’ll be able to watch all your favourite films in glorious 3D. It’ll convert your 2D movies into a 3D spectacle you’ll have never experienced before. A clear motion rate of 400Hz makes action scenes appear smoother, crisper and clearer. Four HDMI and three USB slots allow easy connectivity of peripheral devices.

Full HD 1080p
1080p is the purest form of high definition that a television can display. This leads to a smoother, more film-like image, which will satisfy sports and movie lovers alike. With a 1080p signal, the information that makes up an image is displayed “progressively” or all at once, rather than in an “interlaced” fashion.

LED technology
LCD TVs featuring LED backlighting have greater contrast ratios – blacks appear blacker – leading to a sharper image. They are also slimmer, consume less power than similarly-sized traditional LCDs and are mercury free.

I like it how you left the original text in:

Yet you copied and pasted the info from the website. :-)

I posted the same TV from Comet with 4x3D Glasses for the same price and it went freezing ... it will be interesting to see if the Warranty rather than the 3D glasses helps this deal out.

Might have helped if you had put 3D in the actual title

erm ... title is "Samsung UE40D6530 LED 3D TV (Includes 4 Pairs of 3D Glasses) - £649.99 @ Comet"

I bought the TV - very pleased with it.

I think previous comments with regards to 3D being in SD rather than HD are in relation to when you press the 3D button and the TV tries to convert 2D into 3D on the fly.

We bought Yogi Bear 3D Bluray for the kids, and that looked to be in HD when playing.

All in all, great TV for the price.

why have people voted this cold??

may be due to the tv's 3d short comings highlighted in a review on ukhdtvtest.co.uk

The power of the 'edit' button is amazing as it clearly was not there when I posted that

Samsung Series D6000 3D TVs have a permanent defect in that 3D is SD not HD. This will not be rectified by software updates. For further details:

avforums.com/for…tml

Note that all 3D Series D6000 TVs are affected, not just the D6530.

Excellent 2D performance. But if you want 3D in HD, avoid this TV.

Just when use 2D/3D conversion
If you watch a real 3D is Excellent

Those who think Samsung will solve the 3D SD HD problem with a update will be sadly be waiting till the end of days. I am still waiting for an update to my 2009 40" LEB650 HD TV, so I can stream LOVEFILM films to my TV. Sadly Samsung would rather I buy a newer TV!!!

Do you have a source for that? Each review I've read states that the TV is incapable of anything above 540 vertical in any 3D mode.

The TV still seems to get good reviews even putting the 3D aspect aside and given that's not something I'm bothered about anyway I'm tempted to finally replace an older Samsung LE40M86 I've had a while.

John

I've watched Yogi Bear and Smurfs in 3D now on this TV - they look fantastic - shame the moves themselves aren't, but the kids love them.

Using on the fly 3D for 2D HD TV is noticably worse and not as detailed as normal HD or watching a proper 3D movie. I don't have the technical details - just what my eyes are telling me.

The 2D on this TV is second to none I have seen.

Ooops !!!!!!!!! out of stock
