Samsung UE40EH5300 40-inch Full HD 1080p Smart LED TV, Wi-Fi Ready

I have the 32 inch version of this television and prefer it to the 40 inch 5500 version I also own.

The sound quality is excellent and the picture is very good as well. No issues with any lag or motion blur

Doorber cheapest ever been on Amazon. Besides play appeared to only have a couple as after a couple of posts that day it was out of stock.

Just like the BLACKS on all LCD/ LED TVs, unfortunately I can live with sun on a plasma screen, but I can't live with no black in the picture, makes it unwatchable.

Hi I bought the non-smart version of this TV a while back and it's very good for the price
Check the reviews for the UE40EH5000 (I understand it's essentially the same TV minus the smart stuff)
A fantastic deal for a brilliant television!

Don t get me wrong i m no plasma hater, just amazes me the manufactures sell the cheap plasma s with no filter so leaving the screen like a mirror, in a bright sunny room all you can see is yourself.
Found this review, it's the non-smart version but the picture quality is the main thing

Great deal BTW

Yup can't argue with that. The deal did expire a couple days ago and I did check the price, anyway that's the price with 20% off. This should be the going rate for this set now and it's decent enough.
I bought this tv for a similar price last year at Tescos with a 20% off code and I love it. The sound is good and the picture is nice and crisp. When connected to a ps3 there is no lag at all. My only problem with it was shelling out for a wireless adapter!
great deal voted hot although i want a 3d TV
good tv

No usb 3.0!!!!! lol
Had this TV for a few months now when it was last at £400 and been impressed. Only issues I have with it are the slight blue/magenta shadows that can be seen sometimes during fast motion, and the fact that there's no 4OD app. On the plus side, it has a game mode and supports PC inputs properly, meaning a 1920x1080 image is mapped natively to the pixels on the screen (and not scaled and smeared like certain other TVs in this price range).

For the price, it's a steal.

so far there is no 4od app for any tv as ch4 havent made it available yet, its due out sometime this year which is pants. i'm waiting for it to come out before i buy another tv for the bedroom. my current samsung wont allow me to add itv player so i'm guessing the older tv's wont have access to the newer apps.
I researched this TV around December. From what I found, there's a bit of a panel lottery with this TV. They've used (at least) 3 different panels in manufacture. One of them seems to be better than the other two - for me this makes any online reviews worthless as you can't tell what you'll be getting when you order. Motion blur is a bit of a problem too.
63% in Which Magazine, tempted but they say the quality is good, not great!
Purchased from Argos in Dec £449 with £50 worth of vouchers thrown in with the deal.
Very pleased with the TV. You will need a dongle for internet connection. We purchased one of Amazon for £19.99
We also purchased The Logitech K400 wireless keyboard from PC World. At the time of purchase this was £24.99

This is better TV than the link you posted and cheaper as well.

Saw this model instore and was disappointed when I saw other Samsungs next to it. Went to 3 stores for comparison.

I'd recommend a rekkie to John Lewis before you buy this set.
Maybe it is the cheapest price for this exact model, but I picked up the far better Samsung UE40ES5500 for £389 with a price match at John Lewis a few weeks ago. I wouldn't buy this TV for £397
My 15yo tv just gave up so can someone advise please.
What is advantage of smart tv if you have laptop (I tend to watch iplayer as I always miss programs)?
I have an old Skye satellite dish (gave up paid for Skye long time ago) - will the tv work with it?
Why don't most larger TV's these days have built in dvd player?
I can hack £3 wifi dongles to work on samsung smart tv's
Oh and looking for a 32" model for the bedroom, any chance of one around £300?

as long as you have a decent internet package this will be fine to watch iplayer otherwise it will buffer a lot. i upgraded my broadband to fibre optic with plusnet and its fine.
