I nearly bought this but unfortunately there is a problem with BBC catchup on this model.

Taken from their webpage as mentioned above.

* PLEASE NOTE Due to an unforeseen technical issue, BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport, and BBC News apps are temporarily unavailable on the following TV models (H6203, H5303, H5203, H4203). BBC and Samsung are currently working to resolve these issues which are expected to be resolved soon subject to re-certification processes.

I've been looking for a 40" Samsung TV and saw this model - but can't tell if it's better to go for this or the earlier UE40H5500 model, which is actually a bit more expensive, but clearly proven. Any advice anyone?

The H6203 is a cheaper version because its not as thin, doesn't have a very appealing appearance compared to their usual designs. How that being said, they have not made any modifications to the picture quality so it is still top notch compared to their other models. However the smart TV functions seems somewhat limited. So if you just want a TV with good quality picture and a hint of smart facilities then this would be a excellent deal. If you want to go all out on the smart TV functions and prefer an appealing appearance/thinner design then its best to fork out more on the H5500.

Thanks you very much - that's great advice. I love Samsung TVs because of their thin design, so that fact that this one is a bit chunkier does put me off! Especially as they also seem to be having problems with the smart features on this model. Anyway, thanks again for your help.
