Got the Active version of this with glasses and 5 year cover from JL a few weeks ago and love it, that was for £350 so this is a bargain even without the cover.

bought this last week for £299

brilliant picture quality... great price

Odd that the h6410 models have active 3d, you'd think it would be the same throughout the range.

Must be hot! Cos I just bought it Like that fact that if you change your mind within 14 days you can send it back - seller pays. That gives peace of mind in the event it arrives with more "refurbished" than you want it to be!

David Luiz, Eto'o.....shows the TV's age

this model is also 200hz and the 6400 is 400hz plus no smart remote

For the 6400 I'm seeing a refurb price of £394.28 on Tesco (so significantly more expensive for a modest amount of extra features) and new price of £454 for new on Amazon although can prob get cheaper elsewhere. So question is, can you get a better TV for £279, or a significantly better TV for just a little (~10%) more?

Price now £289

Active 3D?

And is this better than the UE40H6410 model?

It's passive. My understanding is it's difficult to call if active or passive is better or worse. There are advantages of each and neither is perfect. I like the sound of passive and the advantages it brings (more light gets in, less expensive glasses etc) but I'm not an expert

I got this TV Other month paid £400 but have the 48 inch.
Though a very good TV and has the freeview HD.
I have not used the 3d yet or got the glasses so not sure what 3d is like as never seen 3d before.

Good for gaming? Or should I think about the 400hz version?

Not really, for 1 they only left Chelsea in the summer, and 2 as being a Samsung sponsors Chelsea they have probably just picked up a generic image, H is a 2014 model, so it not too old, I gave the 6200 version of this TV, not really sure what the 40 signifies but it is a good tv, although 1 thing in the description says about voice recognition but the 6200 don't have it so can't see this model having it either

No worries (_;)

Where does it actually say passive please guys? Was just about to buy it but everywhere I see this TV advertised says it is active technology

You could be correct. Only place I can see "passive" is in OP?

I've just looked again and on the tesco description at the bottom it says 3d passive technology; but it seems it is definitely active as the samsung website says thats what it is on there.

Slightly disappointing as passive glasses are cheaper and I find that kind of 3d easier to watch; but not a deal breaker and will be ordering thanks OP

Same, not a deal breaker. It's a fairly high spec 40" Samsung for £279. Prob won't get the glasses as I'm in it for the 2d

Exactly the same. I bought a 40" base spec samsung tv on friday from John Lewis for £279 before seeing this offer (luckily I didnt open it so will take it back).

It became a toss up between £279 for a 100hz screen with 2x hdmi ports and a 5 year guarantee; or £279 for a reconditioned tv with 1 year warranty but 200hz, wifi/decent smart tv, 4 hdmis and as an added bonus, 3d.

By the time I bought a chromecast/fire stick to add smart features to a nonsmart tv and then a hdmi splitter (as only 2 hdmi ports) this deal seemed like a no brainer

Just a heads up that asda have 3d bluray players (panasonic bdt160) for £36 in some stores (just picked one up ) & a pair of the samsung 3d glasses are reduced to £21 on argos with plenty of stock (perfect if you have a £5 vouched from the easter promotions )

Any link for the Blu-ray player, all I can see is the BDT160 for £79!

Hi Bunglistik, it was in one of the Cardiff stores (canton/penarth road); there were a few players reduced and took pics of them all. Will upload when home with receipt. There were probably at least 4 or 5 left of the panasonic model

Just bought the 3d glasses from Argos! :-0
