Nothing wrong with Hughes Direct, dealt with them before.

For £20 more though I'd go with RS.

Well, another deal for the same tv -

hotukdeals.com/dea…149

40 inch 4k? 1080p most probably looks the same on a screen this size

This tv does not have the ability to handle motion as well as a lot of 1080 sets.

Amazing price

That one is not currently in stock and doesn't have a 5 year guarantee either. The option to add a 5 year guarantee on that is £99 which would take the total to £648.

Good price.

4K LOL. Marketing hype, no useable technology unless you want to display a lot of still images on your screen.

Don't give me the Netflix response, anyone who uses it knows it's not high quality due to the low bitrate. Oh, and you need to be about 3ft from the screen to get the full benefit! Anybody who mentions upscaling is an idiot who knows nothing about AV technology.

Get the ue48h6400 for £50 less - Award winning set and all the features you need.

You ding know what you're taking about. I own this tv. It's a massive upgrade from a HD t.v. It is quad core, it flies, the upscaling is phenomenal and the black is very black so that makes the picture stand out. Netflix streams in UHD. Never seen anything like it. Go buy one then post a comment here.

ue48h6400 is only 1080p.

4K adds nothing more than higher resolution. Instead of improving aspects of the image that need fixing, like contrast ratio we get 4K because it's easy to do, easy to sell, and easy to demo.

I think we should all wait out for 4K OLED...which will be a much better viewing overall, despite there still being improvements.

Really tempted to get this as a montitor. Anyone used this as a monitor?

Review of the 55 inch here:Your text here.Read comments at the bottom, might have been software updates since then improving some things.

The motion control on this TV is poor, and when the motion does occur the resolution falls from 4k to something like 1080p. So you have a 1080p TV with blurry motion control. It's only 4k when displaying static images. The advice to get a good 1080p TV like the H6400 in this instance, which has much better motion control, is good advice.

shak

ue48h6400 is only 1080p.

LOL - you need to read my post properly!

No point in 4K at the moment unless you have a decent 4K source. Makes sense as a monitor though.

Well no ones buying a tv for today only mate. 2015 is the year of 4k

Yea. It's annoying when people keep saying there's no point in buying 4k when most of us keep the same TV for many years. For example I've been looking for a TV for my sister to replace the one she's had for 10 years! Now she wants one that will last her at least 8 and is willing to spend £600ish so makes sense for her to go 4k since she won't be upgrading anytime soon.

I would rather go for a 55 inch @ £599.

Very expensive for a 40 inch 4K Tv.
Voted COLD.

I found an alternative:

Seems to not have the issues the Samsung set has.

People seem to think these are 4k.They are not. They are UHD.Good deal, though.
