Hot for the price, might be better to try and get others to price match for a better guarantee though, heat added though

Do you know who normally price matches stuff on eBay? I got myself an Xbox One recently, so been looking for a small(ish) 4K panel for the man cave. May have to bite at this price!

Is the panel 16bit like a SNES?

According to the tech specs on the page, it does indeed. If you scroll down to where the blue Add to Basket button is, there's a tab there with the full specifications if you need to check anything else.

This is getting tempting. A bit concerned as to why it is being so heavily discounted everywhere though..

For those with Nectar - don't forget your bonus points for the 10* offer!!

Great price, personally I'd pay the little extra for the 5 year warranty though for the reassurance.

If only it was smart tv however great deal!

Sorry I noticed afterwards and tried to delete the comment!
I have a Philips 6400 series 4K TV (40PUT6400) which has Android (only advantage over Samsung) on it but I think this will defo have a better picture quality?

I just bought this tv off ebuyer for 339.99, I can say it is really good, menu is slick, apps load fast iplayer etc and Xbox one s plays nice on it also!

Bargain at 299.99! I should have waited haha

Can John Lewis price match this?

JVC 40" 4k Ultra HD at Currys for £269 worth considering?

Why are you doing this to me? I don't need a TV but I'm slowly convincing myself that I do

It doesn't play HDR content properly like a 10-bit panel, it merely processes the signal to convert it to 8-bit which is not as good. 10-bit panels cost at least £550 so this is a very good price nonetheless. I have the 40KU6000 which I think is the same but with a different stand and 4K is a big improvement, couldn't justify the cost of HDR10 yet.

I am tempted too

Irritatingly tempting... I think I read somewhere that the number of Nectar points that you can get 10x on was 100.

The speakers are good for a flat screen TV, in my opinion, and this is the best price so far.

Just Heads Up Spoke to John Lewis they will Price match and lower price if Tom or next feew days they lower than the £299 mark so benefit from the JL Warranty !

Can John Lewis price match this?

Don't believe so - they only do price matches for shops with physical stores.

Edit. Never mind, see above!

wow

I wouldn't buy anything from coop electrical eBay, bought a Samsung smart tv off 18 mo ago them that is very dodgy, very slow and backlight on screen was uneven, looked like it had minor water damage. They wouldn't answer most of my emails and when they did they just said contact Samsung.

Purchase now or wait for tomorrow for Black Friday deals?

Has really good reviews this TV, 4.8 out of 5 stars pretty much everywhere. Now if only John Lewis would price match!

The Samsung smart TV's use their own Tizen OS so the last time I looked the answer was no.

I also brought one from them around the same time, guess it may have been the same one as it was such a good price at the time!!, had no problems with ours, having said that as tempting as this maybe, can't justify buying this when we only purchased the one e got 18 months ago, will wait until 4K becomes more mainstream then maybe will be able to justify the leap!!

Since it's ebay take it I wont be able to use Co-op employee discount?

Thanks for the heads up

I have just bought the 50" from Currys at £449. I have to say it's a very good TV for the money. Yes it's not a 10bit panel but you need to double your spend to get one. 4k is good and the upscaling is far better than I was expecting. Sound quality is also far better than I had hoped. I use an AV receiver so it was not important but for the short space of time that I tried it I can't fault it. At this price point I don't think there are many 4k panels out there that can compete in the 40" size range.

Can I use this as a computer monitor?

brought a microwave from co-op blew up within 15 seconds of plugging in customer service was fantastic they picked up next day .. refunded money straight away ( was a daewoo microwave previous one lasted 12 years)
