Hi guys.

Just found out John Lewis do this TV for the same price as co-op electrical but you get the good 5 years warranty. Enjoy!

Free standard delivery.

40” 4K Ultra HD screen gives you four times the detail of a standard Full HD TV

Higher contrast, vibrant glowing colour and brighter images thanks to upscaling High Dynamic Range (HDR)

Catch up with BBC iPlayer and Netflix, use the voice control remote to play games or search the web and connect your Blu-ray player and games console together in one place with the Smart Hub

Control lights, heating and more by using this TV as your SmartThings monitor

That makes the 49" version around £550, people may prefer that indeed too! Good shout.
Not a great price by all accounts.

For the product, I'd argue it's on the small size for a TV (unless you sit incredibly close), it would be extremely hard to detect any benefit from 1080P at least in resolution terms, the HDR might help but like resolution will have more impact on larger screens. Perfect for a monitor though.

I think you need to see a Doctor
Which do not rate it as high as the previous 2016 model (UE40KU6400).
I have the ku6400 model, I believe it has a 8bit panel As opposed to this model having a 10bit panel? Is it worth upgrading?

I dont believe this is a 10 bit panel. This years 6400 is almost exactly the same as the previous years model. There is a review around that said if you have the KU there is no point in upgrading.... the display is exactly the same.

I thought that they both had 8 bit panels but I may be wrong.
Just checked in John Lewis, no Samsung TV under 49” has a 10 bit panel (and only the higher spec Samsung 49 inch+ TV’s).
Can I borrow it to pretend to laugh when reading that joke?
Don’t forget the 28 day price match at John Lewis also.
