A really good tv for the money you pay, hard to go wrong in my view.

Description
Take your home viewing up a notch and witness all your favourite content come to life with the Samsung UE43RU7020KXXU 43" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV.

With HDR technology you'll get scene-by-scene image mastering, so you'll be able to see the finer details in the picture, even when the setting is dark. Your old favourites will get a new lease of life, and new shows will burst from the screen.

Find shows you'll love
If you always seem to end up flicking backwards and forwards through all your streaming and TV content platforms, the Universal Guide is going to make life a lot simpler.

With all your favourites like Netflix, Prime Video, BBC iPlayer all in one place, switching between your on-demand shows and movies couldnt be easier - you'll get recommendations based on what you love to watch too. Even better, with One Remote functionality, you can control all your connected devices with just the one TV remote, so there will be less clutter on your coffee table.

The RU7020 works with Alexa and Google Assistant, so whether you're an Amazon Echo or Google Home household, your new TV will work seamlessly with your setup.

Slim design
Designed to be super slim and give you the maximum panel area for its size, the RU7020 looks lovely from every angle. With in-built cable management, it's easy to keep wires from all your consoles and content players under control, so you can enjoy completely distraction-free viewing, with nothing pulling your attention.

Hope it helps someone.

Unless you're unlucky, if a TV is going to show a fault, it's usually within the first year. For TVs in this price range, I personally think a one year warranty is fine. Obviously if you can get a bigger warranty for a similar price then it's worth it

To be honest, for a TV to go wrong it usually is almost always in the first year itself. For something at these price points I personally wouldn't bother paying extra for warranty, but hey that could just be me ofcourse.
Caved for that price. Free delivery as well. Nice one!

Luckily samsung did it for free even though the warranty had run out , won`t make the same mistake next time
Anyone know if Samsung still make a 40, struggling to find a decent quality set. The menu on Panasonic was awful and software slow. So looking for an alternative.
Does this have Freeview HD?

18 months is still in Warranty.

12 months warranty is a load of crap. We get 2 years as standard, it’s an EU policy.

untill Brexit anyways.
Any idea how this is with gaming? What’s the input lag like? Thanks
My Samsung screen turned partially pink/purple after approximately 4 years along with several other people. Luckily it had a 5 year John Lewis warranty

No that`s not true , if you read the listing for this item it comes with a one year warranty . We do not get a 2 year warranty because we are in the EU .

Similar here.My screen developed large and small purple patches after 3 years.
Bought from John Lewis and screen replaced. The guy who came looked just like Richard Osman!
Thankfully he didn't say it was pointless replacing the screen
Richer Sounds do the 7020 for £299 with 6 year warranty.

Yeah we do.

EU law also stipulates that you must give the consumer a minimum 2-year guarantee (legal guarantee) as a protection against faulty goods, or goods that don't look or work as advertised. In some countries national law may require you to provide longer guarantees.
Then I stand corrected if that is the case , however I believe it is not a warranty or a guarantee but the right to seek a remedy from a trader probably involving pursuing it through the courts

No you just gotta claim it's EU law, I've used it about 4 times in the last few years.

Gotta make the most of these EU protections whilst we can before the Tories strip them all away to line their pockets

They've stated repeatedly they want to "get rid of red tape", such as pesky anti-discrimination laws, workers rights, consumer rights, etc.
