This or the LG UM7400?

I've been looking at the 65" one of this and can't decide either
I'm unsure whether to go for this or the one at £339 2019 model. Is there any technical differences?

How did you get this for £242?

on eBay from Hughes Outlet, it was new but opened box, came with 12month warranty and had additional 10% off at checkout.. maybe some more there but when I got it, they said 'last one' apparently

Lucky!!!!!! Good price
I'm desperately trying to find a decent 43" for under £250. Was hoping black Friday would have better deals (I've been told to stay away from all the JVC and Toshiba deals knocking about)

Isn't there a £50 reduction if you're a first time credit buyer on Very at the minute?

EDIT:

Or for £40 more and TCB 15% off you can get this: currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

And whatever the difference is between the 7020 and the 7100

I just clocked, they've changed the price on the website to £299 (without code), free HDMI still applies

Sorry for these questions , but the answers maybe useful for everyone hunting for a `bedroom` tv this BF weekend !
1. should this or similar models (7020) be cheaper over the weekend or on cyber monday ? for now they are 299 everywhere . Is it worth to wait till Monday ?
2. Can not find difference with 7020 - is it somehow worse than this 7100 model ?
3. VA panel (poor viewing angles) - anybody have this or 7020(or any similar model) - any good for bedroom or it is really so bad if you do not look on the screen dead straight ? (our bedroom are rather wide than long` and sometimes I am playing with the baby from the side of the tv which hangs on the wall ..)
4. Any recommendations for decent tv in between 300 and 400 pounds ?
Please GUYS `Clever Clogs` here on HUKD , (people who understands more than usual consumer) - help to clarify these misunderstandings between VA(Samsung) and IPS (LG) models . Thank you very much all. Great website and to have amazing deals for everyone this weekend !

I'm no expert but I can answer a couple of these, because they're exactly the questions I've been asking too haha!

1. If they go cheaper, you can always return the previous one and buy another, bit of effort but then I suppose you guarantee you get the price you were happy with.
2. Took me a while but I found a website that lists the differences, I think the 7020 is named incorrectly and should have an N in the title: displayspecifications.com/en/…f88 as seen on this site. I can't really see any differences, I think the 100 must just be newer.

I'm not sure about the other two questions, but I'm very close to purchasing the RU7100 or the Philips Ambilight PUS26754/12.
I was just preparing to answer you, 1 extra hdmi port 1 extra usb port and couple of other software features that you can see down on the comparison. Very very similar though

...... but I'm very close to purchasing the RU7100 or the Philips …...... but I'm very close to purchasing the RU7100 or the Philips Ambilight PUS26754/12. I am the same ! As it is for bedroom I think Philips `Ambilight` tech should look amazing on the wall , but then I think about `deep blacks` and overall picture quality - and it all swings to Samsung side .. Is it Philips tvs worse than Samsung VA panels ? I also read lotsof comments around internet about their Smart` stops working or similar technical problems which never happened to anyone on Samsung tvs !

My brothers informed me that apparently the Philips is a no go on account of its 1.4 HDMI port and thus lowering the rate of data transferral.
clearthinking1529/11/2019 21:20

Sorry for these questions ,

im sure i read the 7020 uses version 4 software and the 7100 uses version 5
but like most things, ive been known to be wrong
im in the same boat as you and was going to buy the 7100 from jl for the warranty

I have ordered the Phillips but going to ask if I can switch to the Samsung. The Sammy has built in Bluetooth which was a big plus for me watching TV at night when the kids are in bed
What panel is it? Good viewing angles?

Thanks
Is it good as a lounge tv, were upgrading from a hanspree full hd LED TV thats around 7yrs old
Possibly not for gestroom as viewing angles limited as it is VA panel...
