Good deal £429 in uk
Really good price. Good job op
Can anyone tell me what this offers over the 7100 and 7020? I'm not that technical with TVs and can't really tell from Google.
There was another deal last week for £270 on eBay.. I think it was slightly old model but still Ultra HD so I'm also interested in the difference with this 2019 model?
I have this one, and is really good 👌

This is slightly brighter, so it's better for bright rooms. This one also has a wider colour gamet, so colour reproduction is slightly better. Aside from those differences, not much. Unless you look hard, I imagine most people wouldn't be able to notice a great amount of difference

No problem. For the price, this is a really good deal. The next step up for this size TV is the Samsung Q60, or the Panasonic GX800. You'd notice a difference with those models, but they're currently around £550 mark, so quite a step up. Although with Black Friday coming up, those models might drop a bit.

I wish this will happen on Black Friday. As I am " forced " due to having a small living room to buy a max 40" tv, and my only 2 choices are gx700 or gx800 from Panasonic which as you said, a bit expensive in general and compared to this Samsung. I mean with that money we can buy Qled from Samsung :))
I had a look for Samsung's last year 40" models such as 40"NU series...but also pretty same price as improved 44" RU7400 modelfrom this year. So I can't pay more or same amount for last year tv model...when we have same price for this year model

I'm keeping an eye out for a price drop on the Panasonic too, as it has good reviews, and supports Dolby Vision, which is rare at this size. The market for smaller TVs isn't great as you really need around 50 inches to get decent HDR performance, but the Panasonic is probably the best for movies at this size level. Going back to the Samsungs, the NU series provide slightly better blacks, so they're better for movies. The RU series have better input lag, so better for gaming, and have a better response time too, so better for watching sport. Apart from that, Samsung haven't really offered much in the new RU series. If it was me, I'd go for an NU model, as my preference is films rather than gaming and watching sports. The QR60 has good reviews, but I've read a lot of complaints about light bleed in dark environments. I would set up an alert for the Panasonic and keep your fingers crossed for Black Friday

I don`t do gaming either but I do watch some football matches ( ex: Champions League, blabla )
I had sold my Sony 49we750 due to serious white bleeding and now I`m stuck with a 22" Philips monitor tv :)).
Didn`t knew until actually sold my Sony, how poor the market is for 40" size tv`s this year. It`s still a month and a week until Black Friday..
Samsung`s NU series tend to be a bit pricey for 2018 model so I hope that Panasonic will drop near £400 mark (hopefully), then I will take the plunge for 40GX800 - If we are REALLY lucky maybe Richer Sounds will drop their price for this model and we will benefit from 6 years warranty..now currently at the unbelievable price of £600

Stupid question but this probably comes with EU plug? Just use a eu to uk convertor? Another stupid question but this appears to be made solely fit the Italian market. I assume it's easy to change language to English though?
Cheers

I'm sure I've heard before that amazon despatch from the nearest warehouse to your home address so i would imagine as you are in the UK you'd get it from here if the same model is stocked here. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though please

They will come with EU plug. Adapter from EU to UK usually you can find them in Poundland for £1, or Wilko, Asda, Tesco for a bit more (£2-£3).
Language will be set up when you first turn on the TV. I think is the first mandatory setting
what do people think of the extra 2 year warranty for 25 euro?

I don't think this comes with Freeview Play in the UK model anyway.
I would love to know the deal with the tuner and how it applies to uk broadcast, googling the DVB-T2CS2 tuner doesn't really make it clear.

I'd avoid the Panasonic GX800 as it's edge lit, not direct...

I don't have any choice for 40"... unfortunately

Buy a second hand 40/42" plasma instead. It'd be better than a 40" direct lit panel.
