I think if i remember correctly, the 55h6200 has a better panel than the 55h6400 ... possibly the same on the 48 inch ? I think the screen was outsourced to someone else in korea ?
Samsung use up to four different manufacturers for their panels including their own so it may be worth searching first in case it is the Samsung panel you want. Saying that am not entirely sure if certain panels are in certain models as Samsung have so many different models with the same screen size it would be easy for them to use whichever panel in any of the model range.
I was looking at buying this tv in January. Yes it is a 2014 model and was put off by the review on s21.com. Extract below.

But while the 40 inch model is a decent all-round performer and received a 4-star rating from us, the picture quality starts to become a problem when you blow it up to 48 inches. The biggest issue is the slow 200Hz Clear Motion Rate, which just isn't fast enough for this screen. We'd recommend opting for the faster UE48H6400, which only costs a few quid more. It'll be money well spent.

However the user reviews, especially on REVOO are very good. Just goes to show you what the tech guys know in comparison to us real people haha. It has 8.8 which is a good rating for a sub £500 tv.
The 6200 panel (not in house Samsung) is supposed to produce better blacks than the in-house Samsung panel according to the review I saw. Suppose it depends how much football you watch.
Is there a 42"/43" version available?

Real people tend to vote 10/10 on things like 'rv looks nice' or ' the delivery guy was polite'/etc

You may have a point. I bought an LG50LB650v in January which had an excellent tech review and also good user reviews and bought it after seeing it advertised on Boxing Day. Initially I thought the tv was really good for the money but after a while I noticed that sometimes the picture seemed a bit out of focus and some programmes were quite jerky. It was only occasionally and wondered if it was just because I was tired. I was getting to a point where I was going to complain to Currys about it as it got worse after a firmware upgrade in June but problem was is how can I say it's faulty when on some channels its perfect as are dvd's. I spent some considerably time altering the settings and it made a small difference.

I never ever did get to the bottom of it but the tv is fine now so it's like something was interfering with the tv signal or power fluctuation. I had some issues with the upstairs LG also which was new in March and though it had something to do with the upscaling. The two tv's run off separate aerials. I have recently cut down a large tree in my garden but wouldn't have thought trees would interfere with tv signals.

So initially my user review would have been good as the tv has a clear sharp picture when I bought it, then it would have been a rubbish review due to the judder and now it all seems fine it will be back to good again. That reminds me, I must alter my review back on amazon. This is a good tv after all !!
