same as the 6400 i think but without the magic remote and glasses, its only £70 more for the 6400 with a 5 year warranty, 2x glasses and magic remote at John Lewis , so not sure this is a hot deal though, given heat anyway

how can it be fantastic and shocking? is football ok without football mode?

My Sister has a relatively new Samsung smart TV I'm not sure of the model. Picture quality is absolutely stunning better than any image I've seen on any other TV but the stuttering on panning shots & the input lag during gaming is horrendous & I mean totally shocking!

I'm looking for a new TV around 42-50" & would prefer to go Sony or Samsung but despite the awesome image quality I'm really worried about the performance of these Sammys as my sisters really does perform horribly which is a massive shame as the pic quality is SO good!

Are you gaming with "Gaming mode" on and connected to the correct HDMI port?

Have you tried different Motion Plus settings when watching TV? "Standard" applies too much smoothing for my taste, "Clear" seems to be the sweet spot. This should be Off when gaming.

They also suffer with bad lip sync issues, many many reports of this problem on reviews

Thought the lip sync problem had been resolved with software updates?

For the 6400 series there are multiple responses from the John Lewis support team claiming that the new firmware fixes the lip sync. Check out the customer reviews on the JL website.

The only "negative" reviews seem to be associated with lip sync.

HDTV Test review acknowledges that people have complained about lip sync issues but says they saw no evidence of it. Fantastic review from that site too.

as mentioned read the JL reviews for this series of TV they mention it hasn't been fixed, i would trust customer reviews myself, saying that it seems a good tv and i think its only on freeview that the problem is on

What I want to know is, is this essentially the same Tv as the 6400 just not packaged with the magic remote? i.e. is there any point in paying extra for the 6400 unless you want the extra remote?

The 6400 got an amazing review from HDTV test for the picture quality, so if the 6200 has the same panel/picture quality then probably better to save some extra £££?

just bought this for 549.00 from argos few weeks ago

Forgot to say heat added and a great tv!

Does that only apply if you want that weird soap opera effect or does this apply to all motion processing?

Just to let you know John Lewis have agreed to price match the Sony 48 for me therefore getting the 5 year warranty so its worth emailing them if you decide to go for the Sony. I myself am still undecided!!

400hz on 6400 model with quad core technology and wireless remote. I would go for the 6400

I wonder if John Lewis will pricematch Co-op's prices for TVs in general, could anyone confirm please ?

Thanks

no they wont as they dont have a shop

i have the 40" version of this and i get the "soap opera effect" on everything.

Anyone know which settings to change so Die Hard doesnt look like Neighbours?

Just bought this instead of the 6400 as I'm not into the extra remote or the 3D functions.

I've read on digital versus that the 6200 has a different outsourced screen to the 6400 which gives much better real world co ready ratios, so for me this and the black levels combined with price make it a real bargain.
