If your looking at getting this Samsung TV then this is a great price (via price match with Crampton & Moore) and buying with John Lewis gets the 5 year guarantee and great service. This gets £80 off the normal price!

My price match was accepted the same day, you won't have any issues with this.

ACT FAST: CRAMPTON AND MOORE NEARLY SOLD OUT - WHEN OUT OF STOCK JL WONT PRICE MATCH.

You can purchase online with delivery and get the difference refunded. Or purchase in store and they normally price match there and then, if not you will have to go the their customer services.

Was looking to see if John Lewis would price match with Crompton & Moore yesterday so thanks for the heads up.

Got this TV last month from Richer Sound for £599 with 6 years warranty. Great picture and fantastic sound
Yeah I have price marched 3 TVs with Crampton and Moore now, you can do this for online purchases too, they refund you the difference.
Great price. Effectively getting the 5 year guarantee for £35!

As mentioned above, will this be online with free delivery as my nearest John Lewis is hours away
Yes this can be done online with free delivery, that's what I have done.
Will John Lewis price match Appliance Direct? It's on for £479 on that site
Can confirm this worked. Filled in the online price match, took the email on my phone in-store and they matched it.

If you type in the ue48ju6400 on that website it seems to come up with 2 results. 1 at £479 and the other at £589 for what looks like the same tv, confusing! £479 is a great price though.

Is this a Samsung screen or vestel?
Must be samsung

samsung I believe, as they make there own stuff .Vestel make stuff for Panasonic
Glad to see people are making use of the deal! I've now got two of the 48" in lounge and Snug, and a 32" 5500 for the bedroom; very pleased.

Recommend those really thin disc mounts for wall mounting, so easy and hangs like a picture frame.
Cheaper as seen above appliance electronics. Really struggles handling SD content upscaling etc but that is another story

I preferred the service and guarantees you get from John Lewis rather than some online only store

Nope, Samsung use bought in screens, best to check as the 55 inch screens have two types one Samsung and the other made for them and those get bad reviews.

Appliance electronics are a well reviewed reputable company that have been around for some time. It's OK that you prefer John Lewis but it's still cheaper elsewhere. Maybe JL can price match properly appliance electronics if anyone really wants this particular model from this exact retailer.

I would certainly think twice about it though, only buy a cheap 4k panel now if you have a bunch of 4k content to use on it. If you don't then I strongly suggest anyone reconsiders. Especially if you intend to use this model with as much SD content as HD content.

Woah there are a few horror stories on there
I'm waiting for the new models in April
I have this TV and very happy with it. It's one of the better 4k TVs for gaming as the input lag in game mode is low.
price a bit high for this
hot
Send off price match to JL

but not with a 5 year warranty...and I've had to claim twice on TVs in the 3rd year...would never spend over £400 without a 5 year warranty

John Lewis also charge the £12.99 delivery fee on price matches from JL...just had mine back for a 55 inch

I'm guessing you've had an email saying they wont price match due to there being a difference in their t&c in regards to cancellation and re delivery...

I've tried several price matches with JL and they can be really obscure in their reasons not to pric ematch. Crampton and Moore is the first success I've had this year..and the 48 inch didn't have the delivery charge added but the 55 inch one did...different agents though.

I've just had mine confirmed on this 48" deal. Going to order now.

So they will refund the £80 to me within 7 days of delivery!

Not bad at all. Should last me about 8 years like my current Samsung has
