Been keeping an eye on this one for a while, and waiting for it to drop to under £800 again. Cheapest I can find at the moment. Use code TV50 to take the extra £50 off. 5 year warranty included.

6 more inches for just extra £50... isn't that more value for money?

Original Poster

Not if you want the 49" version! The 55" would be too big for me and my set up

55" is out of stock anyway

Reckon this will go any cheaper after new year?

Original Poster

Cheapest it's been since Black Friday I believe. Probably will but who knows! Was only slightly cheaper during the sales with codes etc

As has been pointed out already, the 55 inch for £50 more would be the best bet if you are happy waiting 1-2 weeks for the stock to replenish.

I went and had a look at these today and the 55 inch Samsung isnt much larger than my current 49 inch Sony due to the thinner bezel. These ks7000 tvs are a steal though they give you 95% of the quality of the ks8000/9000 for almost half the price.

The screen size while watching would be noticeably bigger, though.

Each to their own but I'm personally not looking for a 55" set, for various reasons. This is the cheapest for this particular set.

Agreed, these panels are great value for what you're getting

I know what you mean. Need one enormous TV table to stand the 55 inch on if you're not wall mounting it.

Does anyone know what the input lag is like while playing games in HDR? I know the Hisense M7000 is around 56ms.

it's 22ms. it's the best TV money can by for input lag basically

This is the cheapest it's been for a while but I think this is more like the new rrp for this TV. The 55 inch is only £50 more which makes me think the 49 inch will go lower than this in a few weeks / mo.thd time. As the 49 doesn't have the same % discount off as they are giving on th 55 inch TV. Am holding off for now. Did consider topcashback / quidco as rates were 9%+ but saw to many stories on non tracking / uplifted cashbacks.

Also read that in march time the 2017 models come out and this will drop these ks7000s lower still.

Is there something wrong with this tv? Why is this the set that drops everytime and by huge amounts. The ks8000 has hardly budged on price. Makes me bit weary of buying it. Usually crap gets dropped massively as they want to get rid of it quickly for some reason.

CES not far off - Plus Samsung trying to gain momentum for 4K and HDR to fend off OLED. They're putting allot behind HDR10 and 1000 nits marketing

It's one of the best selling, best reviewed TVs this year. With higher sales, comes higher manufacturing rates with in turn reduces the cost and that is being passed on here. Nobody should (and doesn't) want to pay for the KS8000 for no real noticable difference in picture quality.

I did lol £1449 for 55 inch It's the speakers are far better and the stand I paid extra for. Plus the trim round edge looks far better. Stand best I have seen on a tv. Few additional picture upgrades. But ks7000 wasn't £800 when I paid that much it was about over £1000 still.

I think it was over £1200 for 55 when I paid that. I would have bought this for that much of a saving but never mind. If it's the same screen it is class well worth £800. Use the avforums calibration video on YouTube to set it up. It's makes it just about perfect picture how it should be viewed

Understand it will be cheaper in march but then again it will probably be cheaper still in may, and then august etc..

I wish I'd bought this on Black Friday now I think how much sport and how many movies I've watched since, and missed out on. Not to mention the gaming. If I wait until march I'm just missing out on more ^.^ got to "pull the trigger" sometime

Only if it's still in stock. The decent tv's when it gets close to march are sold out and impossible to find. I wouldn't risk it . Might drop another £50

Ordered mine just now. With quidco (hopefully but has a 97% track rate) comes to around £746. Bargain now to find a wall bracket to move my old tv into the bedroom..

I ordered from Currys but cancelled and just got one from Richer Sounds for £789. Currys after care is very poor.

These TVs are supposed to be excellent but not without issues for some people e.g backs coming away and motion judder.

Looking forward to getting mine up and running.

I think currys is top notch. I bought a ks8000 and had 4 dead pixels in a row, it looked like dirt in the top right corner. They replaced no questions asked and didn't even look in the box. Should have put some weights in and kept both haha

Good deal, unusual to see much discount on this size.

I'm trying to decide on getting this or waiting for stock of 55inch. Any difference on the TVs other than size and price?

Code has expired anyway.....now £849.

Does anyone have any working discount codes??

849.99 atm will code TV50 work?

Will they offer free wall mounting and also if Code can be used can you get JL or RS to price match it for 799.99.

Original Poster

Code expired on Tuesday afaik (try adding it to your basket and see if the code works..).

Not sure if JL price match codes but I think RS do.

Thanks. If anyone has new codes post here.
